CSIR NET Life Science Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria for the Life Science Exam 2024 require candidates to possess a Master's degree in Life Sciences or related disciplines from a recognized university. Here is an overview of CSIR NET Life Science Exam 2024 eligibility criteria:- The essential educational qualifications for this position require candidates to have either an M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Life Sciences with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) or a B.Tech degree in Biotechnology with the same percentage criteria.
- Candidates with an M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Integrated BS-MS, BS-4 years, BE, B. Tech, B. Pharma, or MBBS with the required percentage of marks are also eligible.
- Candidates enrolled for M.Sc. or those who have completed 10+2+3 years of the qualifying examination as of the closing date of online application submission can apply under the "Result Awaited" category,
- B.Sc. (Hons.) or equivalent degree holders or students enrolled in Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. programs with the required percentage of marks are also eligible to apply. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree will only be eligible for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and not for Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professor.
- Final year/result awaited candidates in B.E./B.S./B.Tech./B.Pharma/MBBS are eligible to apply for fellowship opportunities but not for Lectureship/Assistant Professor. B.Sc. (Hons.) final year/result awaited candidates are not eligible to apply.

Candidates who secure marks higher than the CSIR NET Life Science Cut Off 2024 Marks will qualify for JRF and Assistant Professor roles. Candidates' raw marks from different shifts/sessions will undergo conversion to NTA Score (percentile). The NTA Score will be calculated based on the raw marks obtained by each candidate in the subject test conducted across multiple shifts/sessions. Subsequently, the calculated NTA Scores for all shifts/sessions will be amalgamated for further processing to determine allocation. If the percentiles from the multi-shifts vary, the lowest percentile will serve as the eligibility cutoff for that category for all candidates across all shifts/sessions. For instance, in an examination held across two shifts, if 40% marks correspond to a Percentile Score of 78 in Shift 1 and 79 in Shift 2, then all candidates scoring equal to or above 78 percentiles (Percentile score of 100 to 78) in both shifts will become eligible in the General Category. A similar methodology will be employed for other categories to ascertain eligibility cutoffs.
