CSIR NET Mathematical Science Exam 2024 Normalization Procedure

The CSIR NET Mathematical Science Exam 2024 will follow a normalization procedure to convert the raw marks obtained by candidates from different shifts/sessions into NTA Scores or percentiles. This process ensures fairness and accurate comparison of performances across various shifts. The normalization procedure involves the following steps:
  • Conversion of raw marks to NTA Scores (percentiles) : The raw marks obtained by each candidate in their respective shifts/sessions will be converted to a common NTA Score or percentile. This step helps in standardizing the scores across different shifts.
  • Amalgamation of NTA Scores for further processing : After converting the raw marks to NTA Scores, these scores will be combined for all shifts/sessions. This step allows for a comprehensive evaluation of candidates' performances across all shifts.
  • Determination of eligibility cutoffs : The NTA Scores (percentiles) from all shifts/sessions will be used to determine the eligibility cutoffs for each category. The lowest percentile from all shifts will be considered as the cutoff for that category for all candidates across all shifts/sessions.
