Eligible candidates meeting the specified educational requirements and additional criteria set by the departments will be invited for a test, interview, or both. For those whose UG/PG degrees are 10 years old as of the application deadline, a departmental test will be conducted. Foreign nationals may be exempted from the interview/test process. The Departmental Selection Committee will then evaluate the candidates' academic records and performance in the interview/test, recommending suitable candidates for admission to the M.S./Ph.D. program to the Chairman, Senate.IIT Phd JRF Stipend 2024
PhD HTRA scholars can receive an Institute Fellowship of Rs. 37,000 per month for the first two years and Rs. 42,000 per month for the next three years. Additionally, they are eligible for House Rent Allowance (HRA) based on Government of India (GOI) norms. On the other hand, MS by Research HTRA scholars get an Institute Fellowship of Rs. 12,400 per month for the initial two years, with an additional 6 months if recommended by the GTC.
