NIEPA PhD Admission 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for NIEPA PhD Admission 2024 for full-time program and part-time program are as follows.For the PhD (Full-Time) Programme
- Eligible candidates must have completed either a 1-year/2-semester master's degree program after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor's degree program in Social Sciences and allied disciplines, or a 2-year/4-semester master's degree program after a 3-year bachelor's degree program in Social Sciences and allied disciplines.
- The master's degree or its equivalent qualification should be recognized by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a grading system.
- Alternatively, candidates with an equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution accredited by an assessment and accreditation agency approved or recognized by an authority in its home country are eligible.
- A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade is applicable for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and other specified categories, as per UGC decisions.
- Candidates applying after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor's degree program should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade, with a relaxation of 5% marks applicable for specified categories.
- This provision regarding marks relaxation is solely for candidates applying after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree program.
For the Part-time PhD Programme
- Part-time PhD programs will be allowed, subject to meeting all regulations.
- A candidate applying for a part-time PhD must submit a "No Objection Certificate" from their employing organization.
- The certificate must clearly state that the candidate is allowed to pursue studies part-time.
- It should also affirm that the candidate's official responsibilities allow enough time for research.
- If necessary, the candidate will be granted relief from duties to complete coursework.
Steps to Apply for NIEPA PhD Admission 2024
Candidates must apply online through the Samarth Portal using the prescribed online form for admission to the Institute's PhD programs. The link is accessible on the NIEPA website at https://niepaadm.samarth.edu.in/. To apply for the NIEPA PhD Admissions 2024, follow these steps: Step 1 : Visit the official NIEPA portal at niepaadm.samarth.edu.in.
Step 2:
Create a user ID and password to access the system for filling out the admission form.
Step 3:
Prepare scanned copies of your photograph, signature, age proof, educational qualification, experience certificate (if applicable), category certificate (if SC/ST/OBC), and BPL certificate (if Below the Poverty Line), ensuring the file sizes are less than 100 KB or 200 KB, as required.

Fill out the online application form, uploading the scanned documents as needed.
