CUET UG 2025: Major Changes Announced
The CUET UG 2025 Information Bulletin will include several important changes introduced by UGC to enhance the exam process.
Subject Selection Flexibility – Students can choose any subject, even if they didn’t study it in Class 12.
Fully Computer-Based Exam – CUET UG 2025 will be 100% CBT mode, eliminating the hybrid format used previously.
Reduction in Subjects – The number of CUET subjects has been reduced from 63 to 37.
Removed Subjects – 20 foreign languages and 6 domain subjects (Entrepreneurship,
Teaching Aptitude, Fashion Studies, Tourism, Legal Studies, and Engineering Graphics) have been discontinued.
Uniform Exam Duration – Each subject paper will be 60 minutes long, standardizing the duration across all subjects.
No Optional Questions – All questions are mandatory, removing the optional question format.
General Aptitude Test (GAT) for Discontinued Subjects – Admissions for removed subjects will now be based on GAT scores.
