The entire counselling process is conducted by ICAR via its official website icaradmission.in, and it includes several steps from registration to final admission.
Below is a step-by-step process to help candidates navigate the ICAR UG counselling process smoothly
Step 1: Registration on the ICAR Counselling Portal
Visit the official ICAR counselling website: icaradmission.in.
Log in using your Application Login ID and Password created during CUET registration.
Click on “Register for Seat Allocation” and then click the “Edit” button.
Fill in all the required personal and academic details.
Once done, click on “Confirm and Submit” to complete registration.
Note: While registering, you will need to agree to the Declaration and Undertaking for online counselling. You also need to pay a non-refundable registration fee of ₹500 through Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
Step 2: Choice Filling of Courses and Universities
After successful registration, eligible candidates must fill in their preferred choices of programmes and universities.
You can select as many choices as you want, one by one, and arrange them in order of preference.
Before the deadline, you can add, edit, or delete your choices.
Step 3: Uploading Documents Online
You don’t have to visit any university physically during counselling.
Upload all the required documents (category certificate, mark sheets, etc.) on the counselling portal.
Ensure that all the documents match the details provided during CUET application.
Step 4: Online Document Verification
A university official will verify the documents online.
If there’s any issue or missing detail, you’ll receive a query through your login dashboard.
You must respond to the query and upload the corrected document by noon of the next calendar day.
Step 5: Payment of Seat Acceptance Fee
If your documents are verified, you will be asked to pay the Seat Acceptance Fee of ₹10,000 (non-refundable).
Once payment is confirmed, your status will be updated as "Provisionally Admitted".
Step 6: Provisional Admission Letter
After successful payment and verification, you will receive a Provisional Admission Letter via email.
This letter confirms your seat and university allocation, subject to physical reporting later.
Step 7: Upgradation Option
If you’re not satisfied with your allotted seat, you can opt for an upgrade to your higher preferences.
If you get upgraded, your previously allotted seat will be cancelled automatically.
If no better seat is allotted, your current seat remains safe.
Step 8: Physical Reporting to the Final Allotted University
Once you receive your final allotment, report physically to the university at the time of registration or class commencement.
Carry original documents (as uploaded) and pay the balance admission fee (after adjusting the ₹10,000 you already paid).
If you’ve paid the full fee earlier, the university may refund the seat acceptance fee later.
Step 9: Refund Policy
If you withdraw or cancel your seat before the end of the 4th round, you will get a refund after ₹1,000 is deducted as a processing fee
If you do not cancel after freezing your seat in Round 4 or later, no refund will be provided.
CUET UG 2025 results were released on July 4, ICAR will soon publish the official ICAR CUET UG cut off 2025 scores. These cut-offs will determine eligibility for different UG programs like B.Sc. Agriculture, Horticulture, and Dairy Technology.
