Earlier in February, the DRDO successfully conducted two flight tests of the VSHORADS missile from the Integrated Test Range off Odisha's Chandipur, where it intercepted and destroyed high-speed unmanned aerial targets under various interception scenarios. The VSHORADS, designed as a tripod-fired air defence system, is propelled by a dual-thrust solid motor and incorporates advanced technologies such as a miniaturized Reaction Control System (RCS) and integrated avionics.
