Types of Scholarships in NIFT 2025

NIFT Scholarship Criteria for Sarthak Scholarship Scheme

• The scholarship is available only to Indian nationals who are enrolled in regular undergraduate and postgraduate programs at NIFT, and not in the NRI or NRI sponsored category.
• Despite the marks in the NIFT entrance exam, first year students can apply for the NIFT scholarship.
• To continue the scholarship scheme in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year of UG level and 2nd year of PG level, students have to score a minimum of 6.00 SGPA in the last two semesters. At the start of the semester, before the fee is due, students must submit the mandatory documents  and application. The campus will take the call on who will get the NIFT scholarship before collecting the fee.
• Students must not have repeated or failed any semesters, unless for any health problems. They must have passed all subjects in the previous semesters to get the NIFT scholarship. Students who are on "leave of absence" or have taken a leave before, can also apply for the scholarship.
• Students pursuing PG courses can apply for the scholarship in NIFT 2025 only if the Screening Committee is satisfied that they cannot get a bank loan and their parents earn less than the limit.
• Students involved in any disciplinary infraction will be ineligible for the scholarships.
• Candidates must not get any financial assistance from any other sources such as government, PSU, private people, or trusts. They cannot apply for the scholarship in such cases.
• If the number of students applying for the scholarship in NIFT 2025 is large, the board of Governance will take the final call on who will get the assistance based on the parent's income. The lowest income will get preference.

Documents Required for the NIFT Sarthak Scholarship

• A self-attested passport size photo with signature.
• Income Affidavit (Format B) on a 10 rupee non-judicial stamp paper by each parent.
• Proof of permanent address.
• Copies of PAN Cards and Passports of parents. If any of them do not have a PAN Card or Passport, the student must submit an Affidavit stating that.
• School leaving certificate for class 10th and 12th
• Tuition fee receipt of the current semester, i.e., July to December.
• A schedule (Format C) with details of property and land, duly signed by the parent and verified by the revenue department.
• Statements of all bank accounts for the past 12 months as listed in the schedule (Format C).
• Income Tax Returns/Form 16 for salaried/16 A for business owners for the last 3 years (if applicable).
• Vehicle Registration document (if applicable).
• Documents related to SC/ST/PwD/PHP status (if applicable).
• Documents related to other scholarships/sponsorships received (if applicable).
• Tehsildar certificate of land ownership along with official records such as khasra, khatouni, etc.
