NIFT 2025 Entrance Exam:The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has started NIFT counselling registration. The counselling registration and choice filling commenced on 24 June 2025 and continued till 1 July 2025. Candidates needed to fill in their course preferences by 6 July 2025 (Midnight). Candidates with a valid Common Merit Rank (CMR) can download the NIFT counselling schedule PDF from here and register before the deadline. The first round of NIFT seat allotment will begin on 7 July 2025. The counselling process will include multiple rounds, including four seat allotment rounds, followed by a spot round for any remaining vacancies. The registration fee for counselling is Rs 9,300.
Earlier, on 22 June 2025, NIFT final result 2025 was declared by NTA. Candidates could download the result using their NIFT login credentials, such as application number and date of birth, from the official website at www.nift.ac.in.

NIFT 2025 Situation Test for BDes aspirants was conducted on 8 June 2025, while Personal Interviews for PG programs began from 26 May 2025. The city intimation slip was released on 24 May 2025 by NTA. NIFT 2025 entrance exam was conducted on 9 February 2025, in two shifts for both undergraduate and postgraduate design programs, with the written tests comprising the General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT). NIFT Situation Test 2025
The NIFT Situation Test 2025 is the second stage of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) admission process for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program, concluded on 8 June 2025. This offline test evaluates candidates on their ability to creatively handle materials and construct 3D models based on a given theme or scenario. Candidates must have a good knowledge of space visualization, construction quality, use of color, and overall presentation. Only those who qualify in the NIFT written exams (CAT and GAT) are shortlisted for this round. The Situation Test is a critical determinant in the final selection for NIFT’s design courses.
NIFT Eligibility Criteria 2025

Undergraduate Programs
Age Limit (B.Des & B.FTech)
The maximum age should be below 24 years as of 1st August of the admission year. Relaxation of up to 5 years is applicable for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Person with Disability (PWD) categories.
Academic Qualification (B.Des & B.FTech)
Completion of the 10+2 level examination from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education / State Board New Delhi / Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
Successful completion of the Plus 2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi / Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi, with Physics and Mathematics.
A passing grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects including Physics and Mathematics.
Qualification from any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to a 10+2 system with Physics and Mathematics.
Successful completion of General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the advanced (A) level with Physics and Mathematics / International Baccalaureate (IB).
Master’s Programs Eligibility Requirements

Candidates meeting the prescribed educational qualification criteria for the Master’s program are eligible to apply.

NIFT Admission Process 2025

For registration, fill in your details like name, mobile number, and email ID.
Once the registration is completed, your login credentials will be sent to your registered email address and mobile number.

Upload scanned copies of your recent passport-size colored photographs and signature with black-on-white background. The photograph and signature must be in JPG/JPEG format.

NIFT Exam Pattern 2025
The NIFT 2025 exam pattern will be available on the official website nift.ac.in alongside the brochure. It will encompass information such as the exam mode, duration, types of questions, and other relevant details. The NIFT exam pattern consists of two main stages: the written exams and the subsequent Situation Test or Personal Interview. The written exams include the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and the General Ability Test (GAT).
CAT is required for B.Des and M.Des aspirants to assess creativity and design skills, while GAT is mandatory for all courses and tests general knowledge, quantitative ability, communication, and analytical skills. The CAT is conducted offline, and the GAT is computer-based. After clearing the written exams, B.Des candidates appear for the Situation Test, and PG candidates undergo a Group Discussion and Personal Interview for final selection.
NIFT Admit Card 2025
NIFT admit card 2025 was issued on 4th February 2025. Candidates can download their NIFT 2025 Admit Card from the official website of the exam authorities using their email ID and date of birth. The NIFT Admit Card will be granted only to candidates who successfully completed their registration process along with payment of the application fee within the deadline. The NIFT 2025 Admit Card will have details like the name and address of the exam centre allotted, reporting time, exam date and timing, roll number, and exam-day instructions. Candidates are required to bring a valid photo ID along with the admit card on the exam day.
NIFT Syllabus 2025
Candidates preparing for the NIFT 2025 exam are recommended to review the syllabus in advance. This result is prepared based on the candidates’ combined performance in the written exams (GAT and CAT) and Stage 2 assessments, such as the Situation Test or Personal Interview. NIFT Counselling 2025
NIFT Counselling 2025 has officially begun, with online registration and document uploading open from 24 June to 1 July 2025, following the announcement of final results on 22 June 2025. Eligible candidates with a valid Common Merit Rank (CMR) must register on the official NIFT counselling portal and submit their programme and campus preferences by 6 July 2025. The first round of seat allotment will be announced on 7 July 2025, followed by subsequent rounds in August. Seat allocation is based on merit rank, category, preferences, and seat availability, and candidates must ensure all documents are uploaded in the prescribed format to participate in the process.
