Last-Minute Preparation Tips for NIFT Entrance Exam 2025

The last-minute preparation for the NIFT entrance exam 2025 includes revising the key concepts of design and sketching, solving enough mock tests and sample papers, and organizing your essential items for the exam day. Here are some last-minute tips that candidates can overview before the NIFT entrance exam 2025.

  • Solve Sample Papers and Mock Tests

Take as many sample papers and mock tests as possible in the remaining days. These tests help you understand the exam pattern, improve problem-solving skills, and enhance time management. Practicing under simulated exam conditions will boost your confidence and help you identify areas that need improvement.

  • Focus on Revision, Not New Topics

Concentrate on revising key topics from your notes instead of starting new subjects. Use condensed notes, flashcards, and quick reference materials to refresh your memory. Avoid reading entire textbooks and instead focus on important points, formulas, and concepts you've already studied.

  • Prepare for Both CAT and GAT Sections

The NIFT entrance exam 2025 will include the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT). For CAT, practice your drawing and visualization skills. For GAT, focus on quantitative aptitude, analytical ability, English comprehension, and current affairs. Allocate specific time for each section during your preparation.

  • Time Management and Speed

Develop a strategy to solve questions within the allocated time. Practice solving papers with a timer and learn to quickly move past challenging questions. Your goal is to complete the entire exam within the given time frame. If you get stuck on a problem, mark it and move on, returning to it later if time permits.

  • Stay Updated on Fashion and Current Affairs

Read up on recent fashion trends, innovations in design, and current affairs related to the fashion industry. This knowledge is crucial for the GAT section of the NIFT entrance exam 2025.

  • Organize Exam Day Essentials

Prepare your exam day items in advance. Keep your admit card, ID proof, and necessary stationery ready. Organize an examination pouch with HB and clutch pencils, erasers, and sharpeners. Ensure you have good quality color pencils for the CAT section.

  • Practice Quick Sketching

Practice sketching objects and figures within a set time limit. This helps you get comfortable with the speed required for the exam while enhancing your creativity and technical skills.

  • Practice Previous Years' Question Papers

Solve NIFT previous years' question papers to understand the exam pattern. This will help you identify commonly asked questions, improve your problem-solving skills, and boost your confidence.

  • Mental Preparation and Confidence

Build your confidence by maintaining a positive mindset. On exam day, arrive early at the examination center, stay calm, and avoid pre-exam anxiety. Remember to read questions carefully, manage your time effectively, and approach the exam with a clear and focused mind.

  • Plan the Exam Day

Make sure you know the exam center, the documents you need to carry, and the timing. Planning ahead will reduce unnecessary stress on the day of the exam.
