NIFT Situation Test 2025: NIFT Final Result 2025 based on the candidates’ combined performance in the CAT, GAT, and Situation Test/Personal Interview is expected to be announced in June 2025 NTA NIFT website. NIFT Situation Test 2025 was held on 8 June 2025 from 10 AM to 12 noon across 18 cities at 26 exam centres in India. The NIFT Personal Interview was also held on the same day from 2 PM. It is the second stage of the B.Des admission process. Candidates who have qualified the NIFT Written Tests, comprising CAT and GAT, are eligible to appear for the test. 

The NIFT Situation Test 2025 is the second stage for B.Des admissions, where candidates are evaluated on their creativity, material handling, and model-making skills. It is an offline test where aspirants are required to construct a 3D model using provided materials and submit a well-structured write-up explaining their concept, inspiration, and design process. It is conducted in offline mode and requires candidates to create innovative 3D models using provided materials within two hours, accompanied by a written explanation in English. It accounts for 20% of the final score and assesses parameters like space visualization, construction skills, and overall presentation.

NIFT Situation Test 2025 Important Dates

Candidates who clear the NIFT written exams comprising CAT and GAT are eligible to appear for the NIFT Situation Test 2025. It was conducted on 8 June 2025 from 10 AM to 12 Noon. Candidates seeking admission to B.Des courses have to appear for situation test/studio test, while the PG aspirants are required to qualify the Interview rounds for final admission. 

Only candidates who qualify in the NIFT entrance exam are eligible to appear for this studio-based test. Admit cards for the Situation Test was released online on 2 June 2025, and candidates must download them from the official NIFT website. The Situation Test result is expected to be announced in June 2025. Shortlisted candidates will then proceed to the next stage of the admission process.

NIFT Situation Test 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have cleared the first stage of the NIFT entrance exam, i.e.,  General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT), are eligible for the NIFT Situation Test 2025. This test is for B.Des aspirants shortlisted based on their written exam scores. Candidates must meet the overall eligibility criteria for NIFT admissions, including age and educational qualifications, as specified for the B.Des program.

The NIFT Situation Test 2025 is a hands-on examination conducted for B.Des aspirants who qualify in the written exams (CAT and GAT). The NIFT Situation Test City Intimation Slip has been released on 24 May 2025 on the official website. It includes the city name where the exam center will be located. This allows candidates to plan their travel arrangements accordingly. Moreover, the city intimation slip does not include specific exam center details, which are provided in the admit card released later.

NIFT Situation Test 2025 Admit Card

NTA released the NIFT situation test admit card on 2 June 2025 on its official website for candidates shortlisted after the written exams (CAT and GAT) to appear for the second stage of the B.Des admission process.
