Master of Design (MDes)

NIFT PG Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates applying for NIFT postgraduate programmes must fulfil the eligibility requirements prescribed for the respective course. Unlike undergraduate programmes, there is no upper age limit for admission to NIFT PG programmes.

Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply, provided they submit the required documents and satisfy all eligibility conditions during admission.

Important Points

  • There is no age limit for admission to NIFT PG programmes.

  • Candidates appearing in the final year/final semester of their qualifying degree may also apply.

  • Such candidates must produce proof of passing all previous semesters and submit the final qualifying degree/certificate within the timeline prescribed by NIFT. Failing to do so may result in cancellation of provisional admission

NIFT PG Fee Structure 2026 

Candidates admitted to NIFT postgraduate programmes (MDes, MFM, and MFTech) are required to pay semester-wise academic fees along with certain one-time charges at the time of admission. 

The fee structure includes tuition fees, library fees, examination fees, mediclaim and student development fees. For PG students, fees are payable only for two academic years (four semesters). NIFT may revise the fee structure for subsequent academic sessions.
