SEED Application Form 2026, How to Apply, Admission Process

SEED Application Form 2026 is likely to be released in August 2025. Symbiosis Institute of Design will soon release the official notification on the official website at sid.edu.in. The notification will give details regarding the SEED exam dates 2026, application window, release date of admit card, result, etc. 

Candidates are required to first register and then fill out their SEED application form 2026 using their login credentials. Based on the previous year’s exam cycle, SEED 2026 is expected to be scheduled in January 2026.

SEED Application Form Dates and Schedule 2026

SEED is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Symbiosis Institute of Design. The university offers admission to BDes and MDes design courses through the SEED entrance exam. SEED 2026 is expected to be held in January 2026 in an online mode. 

SEED registration 2026 is expected to begin in August 2025. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria before applying. The tentative schedule for the SEED application 2026 is provided below. Once the official notification is out, the dates will be updated.

Eligibility Criteria for SEED 2026

Before registering for SEED 2026, candidates must fulfil the following eligibility criteria. These are the mandatory requirements, such as education qualifications and minimum qualifying marks, which must be met before filling out the SEED application form 2026. 

• Candidates must have passed class 12th in any stream from any recognized board. 
• Candidates with a 10+3 diploma approved by a State Board of Technical Education are also eligible. They must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST). 
• Candidates having some relevant portfolios will be preferred. 

How to Fill SEED Application Form 2026?

SEED 2026 application form will be available on the official website at sid.edu.in. The step-wise application process is mentioned below. Candidates can follow this while applying for SEED 2026. 

1. SEED Registration 2026

• Visit the official website of SEED. 
• Click on the “Registration Tab”. 
• The instructions page will appear on the screen. Select the check box that says “I agree” to proceed. 
• Enter all the required details such as your name, mobile number, and address. 
• Save the details and click on the “Continue” button. Choose a password and a security button. 
• Select the “Submit” button for registration. 
• You will receive the SEED ID. After completing the registration process, candidates will get an email containing their SEEd ID and password. 

2. Fill in the Application Form

• Once the SEED ID is generated, click on the “Save and Continue” button. 
• SEED application form will appear. 
• Fill in your personal, academic, and contact details. 
• Personal details include your name, parents’ names, date of birth, email address, and gender. 
• For academic details, candidates need to fill in their 10, 10+2, and diploma details. 

3. Pay the SEED Registration Fee

• Candidates must pay the application fee as per their category to complete the SEED application process. The payment is done only in online mode, called the “Billdesk Payment Gateway”. 

4. Submit SEED 2026 Application Form

• Once all the above steps are completed, submit the form. Check all the details thoroughly before submitting. Aspirants will get a confirmation email after the final submission. It will contain the SEED application number. 
• Apart from this, candidates are also required to register for admission at specific institutes of Symbiosis International University as per their admission preference. 

SEED Admission Process 2026

Candidates need to apply for individual Symbiosis institutes for admission. The step-wise SEED admission process is given below. 

• Complete and submit the SEED application form 2026 before the last date. 
• Download the SEED admit card 2026 once it is released from the official portal. 
• Appear for the SEED 2026 entrance exam. The exam will be conducted in online proctored mode.
• After a few days of the conclusion of SEED 2026, the university will announce the SEED result 2026 on the official portal. 
• Check your result and download the scorecard from the official portal. 
• Shortlisted candidates are then eligible to participate in the Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction round conducted by SID.
• The university will announce the final merit list.
• Check the list to view your qualifying status. If qualified, pay the admission fee to confirm your SEED admissions. 

Documents Required for SEED Application Form 2026

For SEED 2026, candidates are required to upload specific documents during the online registration process. The document and specifications are specified in the following table. Ensuring that all required files are prepared in the correct format and size is crucial for a smooth application experience. 

SEED Application Fee 2026

SEED 2026 application fee is a mandatory, non-refundable payment required to complete the registration process. Candidates must pay the fee in online mode through credit card, debit card, or net banking. The application will only be considered complete after successful payment of this fee. 

Program-wise seat intake at Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID)

Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) offers a total of 207 seats for its B.Des program. A total of 180 seats are allotted for Indian students and 27 seats for international students. These seats are distributed across four major disciplines, namely, Communication Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, and Fashion Communication.
