Age Limit

General, EWS, and OBCNCL category: Candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1999. SC, ST, and PwD category: Candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1994.

UCEED 2023 Qualification

Candidates must have qualified in UCEED 2023, i.e., obtained a rank in UCEED 2024.

Qualifying Examination

Candidates must have passed all five subjects in 10+2 or an equivalent exam in 2023 or 2024.
Candidates planning to sit for the qualifying exam in 2024 must ensure that (a) all components of their final examination are concluded by the admission application deadline, and (b) evidence of having successfully cleared the qualifying examination with the necessary eligibility is provided to the admitting institute by September 30, 2023.
Passing grades are not available; only letter grades are available. If a Qualifying Examination Board issues solely letter grades without indicating the passing grade on the grade sheet, the candidate must acquire a certificate from the Board stating the passing grade and upload it along with the grade sheet. Stream Eligibility

Candidates from the Science Stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are eligible to apply to all five participating institutes.
Candidates from any other stream (Science without Mathematics or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible to apply to IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIT Hyderabad.
For admission to BDes at IIITDM Jabalpur, only students with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology at 10+2 are eligible. Students from Arts or Humanities at 10+2 are not eligible to apply for BDes admissions at IIITDM Jabalpur.

UCEED 2024 Counseling Procedure

The UCEED 2024 counseling will consist of THREE rounds for seat allotment. Below is the breakdown of the counseling process:

Step 1 - Submission of the B.Des admission application form

Step 3 - Post-seat allotment options
Step 4 - Reporting to the allocated institute

UCEED 2024 Counselling Registration Process

The registration window for counseling regarding B.Des programs was open from March 14 to April 2, 2024. To complete the UCEED application process for B.Des admissions, candidates were required to adhere to the following steps:

Visit the official exam website at uceed.iitb.ac.in.
Access the B.Des application portal by clicking on the designated button.
Access the portal by using the email ID and password registered with your account.
Fill out the B.Des application form.
Arrange participating institutes in order of preference.
Upload scanned copies of the prescribed documents (the list of which is mentioned below).
Make the application fee payment of INR 4,000 using net banking, debit card, or credit card.
Submit the B.Des admission application form.

Note: Candidates were given the opportunity to modify their application form, including the order of preferred institutes, and resubmit it until the conclusion of the application period.

UCEED BDes Applications 2024 Required Documents

Candidates are required to upload scanned documents while completing the UCEED application form for BDes admissions in 2024. These documents include:

A signed copy of the initial page of the filled-out application form.
UCEED 2024 scorecard
Mark sheet of the qualifying exam (Class 12 or equivalent)
Photograph

OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD certificate (if applicable)

UCEED 2024 Counselling Seat Allotment

The seat allocation process for UCEED 2024 will occur in THREE rounds.
Candidates chosen for admission will receive provisional seat allocation letters via their registered email addresses. These letters will also contain a link to pay the seat acceptance fee.
Payment of the seat allocation fee is mandatory for candidates. Failure to submit the fee will result in the cancellation of the seat, which will then be offered to other candidates based on their merit order. Additionally, candidates who do not pay the fee will not be considered for subsequent rounds of seat allocation.
Candidates who receive seat allocations in Round I must pay the seat acceptance fee between April 10 and April 18, 2024 (by 6 pm).

UCEED 2024 Seat Allotment Considering Factors

Seat allocation to institutes will depend on the following criteria:

UCEED 2024 Post-seat allotment options

FIRST Choice Institute Allocation : If a candidate receives their FIRST choice of institute, they have the option to ACCEPT (FREEZE) or DECLINE the offer. It's important to note that declining the seat means the candidate will not be considered for further seat allotments in subsequent rounds, and the current allocation will be canceled.

SECOND/THIRD Choice Institute Allocation: If a candidate is allotted their SECOND or THIRD choice of institute, they have two options:

ACCEPT (FREEZE) the seat, confirming the current allocation and not being considered for subsequent rounds.
ACCEPT with the OPTION to be CONSIDERED for UPWARD MOVEMENT (‘float’) in subsequent rounds.

If the candidate chooses the "FLOAT" option, they may receive a higher preference seat in a later round. They can then decide whether to accept the higher preference seat or decline it. If accepted, the previous allocation automatically gets canceled.

Last round of seat allotment, candidates cannot withdraw or decline an accepted seat once the results are announced.

Fee Payment Option Accept, Freeze, Float

To select any of the three choices - accept, freeze, or float - the candidate was required to complete the entire seat acceptance fee payment (partial payments are not accepted). Failure to make the payment resulted in the cancellation of the allocated seat, and the candidate was excluded from consideration for subsequent seat allotments.
Adjustment of Seat Acceptance Fee: The seat acceptance fee will be credited towards the institute fee and adjusted during admission.
Fee Refund: If a candidate declines the offered seat after paying the seat acceptance fee, the refund will be subject to the policies of the admitting institute.
Withdrawal and Refund: Candidates who have paid the seat acceptance fee but choose to withdraw after Round I until one day prior to the Round III announcement will receive a refund equivalent to the seat acceptance fee minus the seat cancellation fee and a processing charge of INR 5000. Requests for refunds after the Round III announcement will not be accommodated.

UCEED 2024 Reporting at the Allotted College

Upon accepting the seat and completing the payment, the candidate is required to proceed to the allotted college and fulfill all admission procedures. During the reporting process, the candidate must carry originals and photocopies of all essential documents.

UCEED 2024 Seat Allotment (FINAL Round) Key Points:

Candidates who receive a seat allocation for the first time in Round 3 (final round) must directly remit the seat acceptance fee to the institute where they have been provisionally admitted.
Candidates who have paid the seat acceptance fee must liaise with their respective institutes regarding the remaining fee payment and registration procedures.
There will be no additional rounds of seat allocation, thus there is NO option to withdraw an accepted/allotted seat.
