For the December 2025 session, the last date to register for both modules of the CS Executive/Professional Programme is 31st May 2025, while the last date for single module registration is 31st July 2025. The CS Executive Programme allows registration at any time during the year; however, candidates must complete registration by the respective deadlines to be eligible for the December 2025 examination session.
To be eligible for the role of a CS, you must meet certain eligibility criteria put forward by the ICSI. CS eligibility criteria are different for different levels, and you have to qualify all of them to be eligible to take the course. The table below has the detailed eligibility criteria for each level.
Starting now, all students are required to take the CSEET as a qualifying test for Executive Programme registration, with a few exceptions. Candidates should be at least 17 years old when applying and must have completed Class 12. Additionally, graduate/postgraduate candidates who were previously eligible for direct Executive Programme registration now need to pass CSEET to qualify for registration. However, the following are some students who are exempt from CSEET and can directly register for the Executive Programme.

Passing Criteria for Executive Examinations: Prospective candidates must achieve an overall score of 50%, with a minimum of 40% in each subject, to successfully pass the CSEET examination.
The Professional Programme marks the pinnacle of the Company Secretaryship, and those who have successfully completed the Foundation and Executive Programmes are qualified to enrol in it. To be eligible, candidates need to register for the Professional Programme at least nine months before the examination month to secure admission. If registered six months prior to the exam, candidates may be permitted to appear in one or two modules of the Professional Programme. Additionally, candidates must have received postal or oral tuition for the specific modules they intend to include in the examination. This ensures a comprehensive understanding of the subjects.

Passing Criteria for Professional Examinations:
To successfully pass the Professional Programme, candidates need to achieve a minimum of 40% in each paper and an overall aggregate of 40% in all papers in a single attempt. Alternatively, candidates can pass by completing any one or more modules under the old syllabus and scoring at least 40% in each remaining paper and 50% in aggregate.
For a Single Module:
Candidates must secure a minimum of 40% in each paper and 50% in aggregate to be considered 'pass' in the Professional Programme. In the case of failing one subject, but obtaining a minimum of 60% in the total marks of the remaining subjects, the candidate can still pass by securing a minimum of 50% overall.

Additionally, the CS Professional 2025 syllabus is organized into 3 modules, with each module containing three papers (based on the old syllabus). The ICSI releases the results of the CS exam online. To access your result/scorecard, you need your registration ID and roll number. The result includes your personal information and marks for each subject. The CS Executive June 2025 and CS Professional June 2025 results will be available on August 25, 2025.
