The IELTS Online Test is the most convenient way to take the test, and it is organized similarly to the one taken on a computer in the exam center. It also provides you with the convenience of being at home. And don't worry, the Speaking component will still take place with a real person by video call. However, the IELTS Online Test is currently not available everywhere. Installation and pre-system check
To use IELTS Online on your PC, you must first download the Inspera Exam Portal (IEP). You will also be asked to perform a pre-system check before the test. To see if IELTS Online will operate on your computer, download the Inspera Integrity Browser (IIB), launch it, and click 'next' to initiate the system check. This will tell you whether your computer is suitable for IELTS Online. To take IELTS Online, you need the following equipment:- A laptop or desktop computer- IELTS Online cannot be taken on a smartphone, tablet, or Chromebook.
- A keyboard with the language set to Australian, US, or UK English.
- A web camera
- Speakers and a microphone
- A steady Internet connection
- A mobile phone with a camera may be needed at check-in to assist with room scanning. It must be turned off during the test.

Ans - No, you do not need to be at home to take the test. You require a private, well-lit area where you will not be interrupted by a stable internet connection.

Ans - Yes, the test will be timed, the same as the IELTS on paper and computer. Each section has a limited duration, therefore you will not be able to pause the test and resume it later.
