IELTS Exam Payment Methods 2026 – Online & Offline Fees Payment Options

The  IELTS registration can be done through both online and offline modes. Therefore, the IELTS exam fees payment mode IDP will also vary depending on the mode of test registration. • Online Payment: Aspirants who have applied for online IELTS registration can pay their fees via credit, debit (Visa or Master), or net banking.
• Demand Draft: Students applying for offline IELTS fee payments are required to pay through the demand draft in favour of "IDP EDUCATION INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED, Payable at New Delhi". IELTS Rescheduling Fees 2026 – Date Change Cost & Rules

IELTS aspirants can reschedule their IELTS test date in case of genuine emergencies. To reschedule the original test date, candidates should request an IELTS rescheduling on the official website before the original test date. Candidates who apply for rescheduling can get a refund of their original payment of IELTS exam fees INR 19,000, however, the administrative fee is deducted from the total amount. • Candidates who reschedule their IELTS exam at least five weeks before the original test date can get a full refund deducting the administrative fee.
• For test-takers who apply for reschedule within five weeks of the test date, no refund is provided. However, if the candidate provides an authentic medical report confirming their medical inability are granted a full refund deducting the administrative fee.

Note : If the candidate is not able to attempt the second IELTS exam , the full fee will be charged by the exam authority.

IELTS Cancellation Fees 2026 – Refund Amount & Charges Explained

IDP IELTS offers cancellation facilities to its test-takers in case of medical emergencies, incomplete preparation, or other reasons. Details of IELTS exam 2026 cancellation fees for different test types are available below:

Cancellation fee for IELTS on Paper/ Computer

A candidate can request IELTS test cancellation only if the test date is at least 9 days away from the date of applying for cancellation.

If the cancellation request is submitted less than 9 days before the test date, 25% of the test fee will be retained, and the remaining amount, including all applicable taxes, will be refunded within 7 to 10 working days from the date of application.

Cancellation requests must be submitted with supporting documents. All requests are subject to approval, and the cancellation will be processed once approved.

Cancellation fee for IELTS UKVI/ IELTS Life Skills

For candidates who apply for an IELTS Life Skills test, a cancellation fee of INR 4,250 is charged as an administrative fee inclusive of all taxes.

• Cancellation Request Deadline: At least 9 days before the test date. No refund will be provided for requests made less than 9 days before the test date.
• Refund Amount:  INR 12,950, inclusive of all taxes.
• Refund Processing Time: Within 10–12 working days from the date of the application.

Candidates can apply for cancellation or refund either through the Candidate Login section or by submitting the Test Date Transfer & Cancellation/Refund Application Form to the test centre.

Refund Details:

• If the request is submitted at least 14 days before the test date, 25% of the test fee will be deducted, and the remaining amount, including applicable taxes, will be refunded within 7 to 10 working days.

Detailed Cancellation & Refund Policy:

• More than 14 days before the test: 75% refund of the total test fee
• Within 14 days but more than 2 days before the test: 50% refund of the total test fee
• Within 2 days of the test date: 25% refund of the total test fee
• On the test day or after the test: No refund will be issued

Important Note for Minor Test Takers:
If a minor test taker fails to provide a valid identity document of the parent or lawful guardian to IDP India on or before the test day, the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the test. In such cases, 75% of the test fee will be refunded.

• If the cancellation request is submitted at least 4 days before the test date, 25% of the test fee will be deducted as a processing charge. The remaining amount, including all applicable taxes, will be refunded within 7 to 10 working days from the date of application.
• If the request is submitted less than 4 days before the test date, no refund will be issued.

Important Note for Minor Test Takers:

IELTS offers a rechecking facility for test-takers who are not completely satisfied with their IELTS results. Candidates who wish to apply for a remarking are requested to submit the 'Enquiry on Results Form' (EOR Form) for sending the re-marking request. The IELTS  rechecking fee is INR 13,500 for Indian test takers. However, the fee is completely refundable in case the candidate gets a higher IELTS band score. IELTS Additional Test Report Form (ATRF) Fees 2026

When applicants register for the IELTS test, they are eligible to obtain up to five free electronic Test Report Forms (TRFs). The applicant can select which institutions to send these TRFs to directly.

• First 5 electronic ATRF reports: Free of charge
• Each additional university (beyond 5): ₹350 per university
