IELTS Exam Fees Payment Mode 2025
The IELTS registration can be done through both online and offline modes. Therefore, the IELTS exam fees payment mode IDP will also vary depending on the mode of test registration. The IDP IELTS offers major three payment options for candidates: Online payment, Bank deposit, and Demand Draft. Details of different available payment modes are given below:
- Online Payment: Aspirants who have applied for online IELTS registration can pay their fees via credit, debit (Visa or Master), or net banking.
- Demand Draft: Students applying for offline IELTS fee payments are required to pay through the demand draft in favour of "IDP EDUCATION INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED, Payable at New Delhi". Candidates must note that this mode of payment can be processed only from the banks approved by the IDP. Refer to the IDP IELTS official website to get the list of approved banks.
- Bank Deposit: Candidates can also pay their IELTS test fee 2025 through bank deposits. Download a customized deposit slip from the IELTS IDP India website or from the nearest IELTS IDP branch office/ referral partner to deposit cash in ICICI/HDFC bank branches. Students must note that the original customer deposit slip must be attached to the IELTS application form at the time of application submission.
IELTS Rescheduling Fees 2025
IELTS aspirants can reschedule their IELTS test date in case of genuine emergencies. To reschedule the original test date, candidates should request an IELTS rescheduling on the official website before the original test date. Candidates who apply for rescheduling can get a refund of their original payment of IELTS exam fees INR 18,000, however, the administrative fee is deducted from the total amount. Details of refund policies are explained below:
- Candidates who reschedule their IELTS exam at least five weeks before the original test date can get a full refund deducting the administrative fee.
- For test-takers who apply for reschedule within five weeks of the test date, no refund is provided. However, if the candidate provides an authentic medical report confirming their medical inability are granted a full refund deducting the administrative fee.

IDP IELTS offers cancellation facilities to its test-takers in case of medical emergencies, incomplete preparation, or other reasons. Details of IELTS exam 2025 cancellation fees for different test types are available below:
Cancellation fee for IELTS on Paper
Candidates applying for IELTS cancellation are required to submit an application to the Centre using the “Transfer & Cancellation/Refund Application Form” along with the original receipt of payment of the test fee. However, an IELTS exam cancellation fee of INR 4,500 is charged including all taxes.

Cancellation fee for IELTS Life Skills
For candidates who apply for an IELTS Life Skills test, a cancellation fee of INR 4,250 is charged as an administrative fee inclusive of all taxes.
- Cancellation Request Deadline: At least 9 days before the test date. No refund will be provided for requests made less than 9 days before the test date.
- Refund Amount: INR 12,950, inclusive of all taxes.
- Refund Processing Time: Within 10–12 working days from the date of the application.
Cancellation fee for IELTS for UKVI
In India, UKVI IELTS fees is INR 4,550, which includes all taxes. A refund of INR 13,650 will be provided to candidates who submit a cancellation request within 10 - 12 working days from the date of application. No refund will be given to the candidate who applies less than 9 days before the test date.

IELTS offers a rechecking facility for test-takers who are not completely satisfied with their IELTS results. IELTS Exam Fees for Additional Test Report Form (ATRF)
When applicants register for the IELTS test, they are eligible to obtain up to five free electronic Test Report Forms (TRFs). The applicant can select which institutions to send these TRFs to directly. However, there is an extra ATRF charge of 300 rupees if you want to submit your IELTS results to more than five colleges. Candidates must wait until the next day to get scores for additional colleges, even though a maximum of five universities may be selected for electronic reporting on a single day.
