The full form of IELTS TRF is Test Report Form. It is an official copy of the IELTS result released by the IDP. Each candidate is offered one hard copy of IELTS TRF, however, applicants applying to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) or the United Kingdom Border Agency (UKBA) are offered two copies valid for two years. Additionally, five ATRF copies are provided by the IDP to send them to various universities abroad. However, for additional TRF copies, students are required to pay INR 250 for each university. 

What does an IELTS TRF Contain?

An IELTS Test Report Form (TRF) is an official document that provides a detailed breakdown of a test taker’s performance in the IELTS exam. It contains the following information:

• Candidate Details: Full name, date of birth, gender, nationality, and candidate number.

• Test Type: Specifies whether the test was Academic or General Training.

• Test Date and Location: The exact date and center where the test was conducted.

• Scores: Individual band scores for:

• Listening (0-9)

• Reading (0-9)

• Writing (0-9)

• Speaking (0-9)

• Overall Band Score (average of the four sections, rounded to the nearest 0.5)

The IELTS TRF is valid for two years from the date of the release. After two years, students will be required to retake the exam to apply for immigration or educational purposes .
