Apart from admission to top NLUs, the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2025) also presents an opportunity to apply for jobs in PSUs. The PSUs accept applications from law graduates through the CLAT exam. The PSU job notifications for CLAT 2025 are yet to be released. PSUs such as PGCIL, THDC, IOCL, ONGC, BHEL, and NTPC may release the notification soon.

The eligibility criteria for PSUs Recruiting through CLAT 2025 are given below.- Candidates must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria before filling out the CLAT 2025 application form for the PSUs.
- Each PSU has its own eligibility criteria. Candidates must read the eligibility criteria carefully before applying.
- Candidates must have an LLB degree, either a 3-year LLB or a 5-year LLB course to apply for PSUs.
- Candidates have to qualify for the CLAT PG 2025 exam to be eligible for the job in PSUs. Candidates who have passed CLAT PG in previous years will not be considered for the recruitment process.
- For age criteria, candidates must read the job notification released by the PSUs. The age criteria vary according to respective PSUs.
Types of PSUs Hiring through CLAT 2025 Score
PSUs are divided into three categories namely, Maharatna, Navratna, and Mini-Ratna. Based on the parameters such as listing in the Indian Stock Exchange, global presence, annual revenue, and income generated, PSUs are categorized. Companies under different categories are given in the table below.- Maharatna : Companies having an annual turnover of INR 20,000 crore on an average for 3 years with an average net worth of combined assets of value INR 10,000 crore will be categorized under Maharatna Company.
- Navratna: CPSEs with a schedule A along with a Miniratna Category 1 status can be eligible for Navratna. It gives power to the PSU to invest up to INR 1,000 crore without government approval.
- Mini-Ratna: Companies that have made profit in the last three years with a positive net worth fall under the Miniratna Company.

The selection process of the PSUs recruiting through CLAT 2025 includes the following steps.- Selection of candidates: For the first round of selection, the PSUs select candidates based on their merit rank in the CLAT 2025.
- Invitation for the Interview Rounds: The PSUs will send invitations to the short-listed candidates of the first round for the interview rounds. Candidates are required to present important documents like CLAT scorecard 2025, interview letter, and other academic documents at the time of the interview.
- Interview Rounds: The mode of the interview round will be notified to the candidates. The interview can be held in either online or offline mode. A group discussion (GD) may also be part of the selection process as per the PSUs selection norms.

The prominent change made in the CLAT 2025 is that the number of questions has been reduced from 150 to 120. The CLAT Exam consists of 120 objective questions based on the English Language, Current Affairs (including General Knowledge), Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques.
How many seats are in the CLAT 2024 Exam?
In CLAT 2024, there are a total of 4,616 seats available across the National Law Universities (NLUs) including 3,243 seats for undergraduate law programs and 1,373 seats for post-graduate programs.
How is CLAT rank decided?
The Consortium makes the CLAT PG merit list based on candidate names and marks, ranked from highest to lowest scores. Ranks are allocated according to the marks obtained, granting higher ranks to higher scores.
Is there any change in the CLAT syllabus?
No, there is no change in the CLAT syllabus. The CLAT syllabus includes English Language, Current Affairs (including General Knowledge), Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques.
