A PSU is a public-sector company whose majority shares (51%) are owned by the Government of India and state government. Apart from admission to top NLUs, the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2025) also presents an opportunity to apply for jobs in PSUs. The eligibility criteria for PSUs Recruiting through CLAT 2025 are given below.
Candidates must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria before filling out the CLAT 2025 application form for the PSUs.
Each PSU has its own eligibility criteria. Candidates must read the eligibility criteria carefully before applying.
Candidates must have an LLB degree, either a 3-year LLB or a 5-year LLB course to apply for PSUs.
Candidates have to qualify for the CLAT PG 2025 exam to be eligible for the job in PSUs. Candidates who have passed CLAT PG in previous years will not be considered for the recruitment process.
For age criteria, candidates must read the job notification released by the PSUs. The age criteria vary according to respective PSUs.
Types of PSUs Hiring through CLAT 2025 Score
PSUs are divided into three categories namely,
Maharatna,
Navratna, and
Mini-Ratna.
Based on the parameters such as listing in the Indian Stock Exchange, global presence, annual revenue, and income generated, PSUs are categorized. Companies under different categories are given in the table below.
Maharatna
: Companies having an annual turnover of INR 20,000 crore on an average for 3 years with an average net worth of combined assets of value INR 10,000 crore will be categorized under Maharatna Company.
Navratna:
CPSEs with a schedule A along with a Miniratna Category 1 status can be eligible for Navratna. It gives power to the PSU to invest up to INR 1,000 crore without government approval.
Mini-Ratna:
Companies that have made profit in the last three years with a positive net worth fall under the Miniratna Company.
