Candidates eligible for JKSET/LASET must secure at least 55% marks in Master's Degree or equivalent, recognized by UGC. SC/ST/PwD candidates need 50%. Provision is made for those awaiting results, with a two-year limit. Ph.D. holders pre-1991 can avail of a 5% relaxation. The JK SET Agency will display the Provisional Answer Key of the questions on the JKSET website www.jujkset.in to provide candidates with an opportunity to challenge the Provisional Answer Key. JK SET Exemption
Candidates exempted from appearing in SET for the Assistant Professor post must fulfill all eligibility conditions for the specific test. Those who passed the UGC/CSIR examination for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) prior to December 1989, as well as those who qualified the National Eligibility Test for Lectureship/Assistant Professor (UGC-NET) conducted by UGC or the Joint CSIR-UGC Test, are exempt from SET.JK SET Certificate Validity
Candidates who have successfully cleared the SET/SLET accredited by UGC for Lecturership/Assistant Professorship before June 1st, 2002, can apply for Assistant Professor positions throughout India. However, for SET examinations conducted after June 1st, 2002, qualified candidates can only apply for Assistant Professor roles in universities/colleges located within the state where they passed their SET.
