The full form of the CCMT is Centralized Counseling for M. Tech., M. Arch., and M. Plan. admission. It's an online admission and counseling process for admissions to the Master's of Technology (M.Tech), Master's of Architecture (M.Arch), and Master's of Planning (M.Plan) programs offered by the various prestigious institutes, including the National Institutes of Technologies (NITs), IIEST Shibpur, the Eight Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and the National Institute of Foundry.

What is CCMT Counseling?

Interested applicants are only required to fill out a single application form in order to be considered for all programs provided by the participating institutes based on their eligibility. It centralizes the counseling and seat allocation processes, making it more efficient for both applicants and participating institutes.
CCMT Counseling Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following CCMT counseling eligibility criteria to be eligible for M.Tech., M.Arch., or M.Plan. programs:

Applicants must have a GATE score from the previous three years.

Applicants in the general, general-EWS, and OBC categories must have achieved at least a 6.5 CGPA out of 10 or 60% on their final exam.

Applicants from the SC, ST, and PwD categories must have a CGPA of 6.0 or 55% in their graduating degree.

Only the principal method of evaluation (CGPA or percentage) specified on the qualifying degree certificate or mark sheet will be taken into account.

An institute or university may not convert CGPA to % or vice versa.

If the final result is not available, applicants may be admitted provisionally if they meet the minimal standards within the CCMT's defined timetable. During document verification, a certificate from the present institute (in the format given by CCMT) should be submitted.

CCMT Counseling Registration Procedure
Applicants must register for the counseling process before completing the CCMT registration. In order to register, they must submit their name and GATE-related details, including the year of the exam, GATE registration ID, paper code or subject, in addition to the score achieved out of 100.

After registration, applicants are required to log in to the official website and enter their personal details, such as parent’s name, date of birth, gender, nationality, academic qualification, bank account information, etc.

Furthermore, applicants must upload a scanned copy of their GATE scorecard only in the predetermined format, which is GIF/PNG/JPG/JPEG/BMP with a size between 50 KB and 200 KB.

A password will be generated prior to submitting the CCMT registration form. Review all details and complete the submission. Once done, a unique registration number will be sent to the applicant's registration number or email.
