• Initially, the applicant is hired as an assistant executive engineer or assistant director at a government agency.
• Officers are eligible for promotion to the position of executive engineer or director after 3 to 4 years of service. This promotion's duration may vary depending on how well the applicant performs during their service.
• After approximately 13 years of continuous service, employees can advance to the level 2 post of Joint General Manager or Chief Engineer.
• Officers with about 20 years of service are eligible for promotion to the position of Chief Engineer or AGM (Additional General Manager).
• Senior general manager is the next promotion level after 30 years of service.
• Lastly, after 34 years of exceptional service, officers are eligible for the highest level of promotion, either to the post of managing director or to the prestigious position of chairperson.
