IIT Ropar M.Tech Placements: The Indian Institute of Technology offers excellent job offers to M.Tech graduates at an attractive package. Candidates having good academic records with skills as per industry requirements may opt for placements to highly reputed firms. For the academic year 2022–2023, IIT Ropar has made available the placement statistics. For BTech and MTech students, the average package was INR 20.99 lakhs (LPA) and INR 13.31 LPA, respectively.

A placement rate of 82.21% for B.Tech and 56.44% for M.Tech was achieved, with 323 out of 444 students placed. Previously, Zomato, Salesforce, Adobe, Microsoft, Amazon, and Zomato were among the top recruiters at IIT Ropar.

During campus placements in 2023, the average salary provided to BTech graduates increased by approximately 4 percent from the prior year. On the other hand, there was a 7% decline in the overall undergraduate placement rate.

IIT Ropar M.Tech Placements

The Office of Career Services (OCS) at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Ropar manages the entire campus placement drive. Several companies, including HP, Microsoft, Deshaw, Amazon, and Accolite, take part in the IIT Ropar placement drive each year.

The NIRF ranking 2023 placed IIT Ropar in the 22nd rank. A total of 229 UG students and 108 PG 2-year program students were placed in the campus drive, per the NIRF 2023 data that was made available.

The median compensation package for UG 4-year courses at IIT Ropar is reported to be Rs. 17,14,000 in placement. In contrast, the PG 5-year Integrated program's median package was Rs. 35,25,000.

IIT Ropar M.Tech Placement Highlights

IIT Ropar Placements 2023 recorded 80.85% placements for the B.Tech batch and 45.45% placements for the Dual Degree (Mechanical Engineering) batch. The maximum package offered by IIT Ropar was INR 55 LPA, while the average package for the B.Tech and Dual Degree batches was INR 22.49 LPA and INR 19.85 LPA, respectively.

Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Infosys, and other companies were among the employers that IIT Ropar Placements had previously hired.

IIT Ropar's MTech students were offered an average annual package of INR 13.31 lakhs during the 2023 placement season. For MTech students, the placement rate was 56.44%.

According to the 2023 placement report, the majority of students were placed in CSE sectors. The number of BTech and MTech students placed at IIT Ropar placements in 2023 is given below:

M.Tech MED students earned the highest average package during IIT Ropar Placements 2022, followed by B.Tech CSE students. The average income for the M.Tech MED batch was INR 30.64 LPA, whereas the average salary for the B.Tech CSE batch was INR 28.54 LPA. During IIT Ropar Placements 2022, the highest salary improved from INR 18 LPA to INR 50 LPA.  Students placed increased by around 70.9% (for B.Tech) and 25.8% (for M.Tech) at the IIT Ropar Placements 2021.

IIT Ropar Internship Programs

For students, IIT Ropar hosts recruitment events for internships and jobs. It provides two- and six-month internship programs for students to get training and exposure in the industry. IIT Ropar is the first IIT to provide six-month internships, according to the official website.
