Eligibility Criteria For IIT Palakkad Admission 2024 For B. Tech

• The candidate must have passed 10+2 (PCM) from a recognized board with a minimum of 75% marks (70% for SC/ST/PWD) OR
• The candidate must have completed a Diploma program in Engineering recognized by AICTE or the State Board of Technical Education with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PWD).
• The candidate must have qualified for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2024.

1. The candidate must register for the JEE Advanced 2024.
2. After the JEE Advanced 2024 results are announced, the candidate must fill up the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2024 application form.
3. The candidate must select IIT Palakkad as one of their choices in the JoSAA 2024 application form.
4. The seat allocation for the B.Tech program at IIT Palakkad will be done through the JoSAA 2024 counseling process.

Selection Criteria For IIT Palakkad Admission 2024 For B. Tech

• Admission to the B.Tech program is done on the basis of the JEE Advanced 2024 ranks.
• The cutoff ranks for admission to IIT Palakkad B.Tech are released every year after the JEE Advanced results are announced.
• The cutoff ranks vary from year to year and are based on the number of seats available, the difficulty level of the JEE Advanced examination, and the performance of the candidates.
• Candidates who have qualified for the JEE Advanced 2024 examination will be invited to participate in the Joint Seat Allocation System (JoSSA) counselling.
• In the JoSSA counselling, candidates will be allotted a seat in IIT Palakkad B.Tech based on their JEE Advanced ranks and their choices.

• The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognized university/institution.
• The degree must be of 4 years duration, full-time, and must be in a discipline relevant to the M.Tech program that the candidate is applying for.
• The candidate must have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the Bachelor's degree.
• The candidate must have qualified in the GATE exam in the relevant discipline. The GATE cutoff for admission to IIT Palakkad M.Tech programs is usually in the range of 650-750.
• The candidate must have a valid GATE scorecard. The GATE scorecard is valid for three years from the date of the exam.

1. Begin by visiting the official COAP website.
2. Initiate the registration process by providing basic information to create a unique ID and password.
3. Once registered, log in using the provided credentials to access the application form.
4. Complete the application form by entering all necessary details, including personal information, academic background, communication information, and GATE examination details.
5. Additionally, upload scanned copies of the required documents as specified.
6. Proceed to select your preferred examination cities.
7. Upon completing the form, make the application fee payment using the online payment method. Please note that the application fee is INR 1500 for General/Male candidates and INR 500 for SC/ST/OBC/Female candidates.
8. After a successful payment transaction, submit the application form.
9. Finally, don't forget to take a printout of the submitted application for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria For IIT Palakkad Admission 2024 For MSc

• The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent) from a recognized university.
• Aspirants from reserved SC/ST/PwD categories have a relaxation of 5% marks.
• Candidates appearing in their final year examination are also eligible to apply.
• The candidate must have appeared for and qualified the IIT JAM 2024 exam. The minimum cut-off for the IIT JAM 2024 exam for IIT Palakkad M.Sc program will be announced later.

• The selection will be based on the candidate's performance in the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM).
• The JAM score will be the only criteria for shortlisting the candidates.
• The final selection will be done through the IIT-JAM Counselling round.

• Phase 1: In the first phase, the candidates will be required to fill their choices of college and course.
• Phase 2: In the second phase, the seats will be allocated to the candidates based on their choices and JAM score.
