Here’s a summary of students’ overall experience and key observations from the JEE Advanced 2025 exam:
Both papers followed a similar structure to previous years, with no major changes in the exam pattern.
Paper 1 had a mix of easy to difficult questions, with Chemistry being relatively easier, while Physics and Mathematics presented moderate to difficult challenges.
Paper 2 was moderately tough, especially in Physics and Mathematics, with many numerical and multi-correct type questions.
Negative marking was applicable in single and multi-correct type questions, whereas numerical questions did not carry any negative marking.
On May 26, 2025, the provisional answer key for JEE Advanced 2025 will be released. Objections against the provisional key can be sent by candidates till May 27, 2025. After reviewing all challenges, the final answer key and the results will be published on June 2, 2025.
The qualifying marks for JEE Advanced 2025 are expected to follow a pattern similar to previous years. Generally, candidates need to score around 25–30% of the total marks to qualify. For instance, in JEE Advanced 2024, the cutoff for the Common Rank List (CRL) was approximately between 30% and 35%. Category-wise cutoffs are likely to remain consistent, with around 25% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC/ST, and an additional 5% relaxation for PwD candidates.
