JEE Advanced Dress Code 2026 for Male and Female

As per the NTA JEE Advanced brochure, male and female candidates are recommended to avoid clothing with large buttons and to wear open footwear, such as chappals or sandals, to ensure hassle-free security checks.

• Applicants must dress in plain light clothing without prominent buttons or metal decorations.

• It is better to wear open shoes such as chappals or sandals rather than shoes.

• Do not wear any religious or charm-related objects such as taweez.

• The clothes should be comfortable and not suspicious during frisking.

Candidates are not permitted to bring the following items into the exam centre.

• Electronic devices: mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands, cameras, and scanners.

• Stationery other than pen/pencil: scales, erasers, geometry boxes, pouches, calculators, pen drives, or electronic pens.

• Personal items: wallets, handbags, goggles, charm/taweez, jewellery,
