JEE Main 2025 Recorded Over 16 Lakh Registrations So Far: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is preparing to conduct JEE Main 2025 Session 2 from April 1 to 8, 2025. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is one of the most important tests for engineering aspirants across the nation, as it determines admission to top engineering institutes. Since the JEE Main April Session 2025 application process began on February 1, more than 16 lakh students have already registered for the exam.
The JEE Main 2025 examination process began with Session 1, which was held in January and saw around 13 lakh 78 thousand registrations. For Session 2, nearly 2 lakh 30 thousand new applicants have registered so far. Since the application window remains open until February 25 at 9 PM, the total number of registrations is expected to increase further. With this, it is likely that over 16 lakh applicants will appear for JEE Main 2025 Session 2. After the JEE Main registration process closes, NTA will provide a correction window for applicants who need to modify their submitted details. This correction window for JEE Main 2025 Session 2 will be open from February 27 to February 28 until 11:50 PM on the official website, which is jeemain.nta.nic.in.
The online application process for JEE Main April Session 2025 was closed on February 25. After the application process, NTA has now released a notification regarding the activation of the correction window on February 27, 2025
To apply, visit the official JEE Main website (jeemain.nta.nic.in) and select the "New Candidate Registration" option.
Applicants who have already applied for session 1 can log in using their existing application number and password.
New applicants must complete the registration process by entering basic details and setting up a password.
After submission, a registration number will be sent to the registered mobile number and email.
Once registered, applicants need to fill out the JEE Main 2025 application form, upload the required documents, and submit their scanned photograph. The application fee must be paid online using Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI. After successful payment, the form will be submitted, and a confirmation PDF will be sent to the registered email ID. It is important for applicants to note that all details must be entered accurately, as only limited corrections will be allowed during the correction window.

The correction window for JEE Main 2025 Session 2 will be available from February 27 to February 28, 11:50 PM. During this period, applicants will be allowed to edit certain details in their application form. However, not all information can be changed.
Name: Can be corrected as per the Class 10 mark sheet.
Photo/Signature: Applicants can re-upload their photograph and signature if needed. NTA has confirmed that images without names and dates will be accepted.
Paper Selection: Applicants can change their exam paper preference or opt for both papers. If there is an additional fee, it must be paid during correction.
Category: Those changing from SC/ST/Girls/PwD to General/OBC-NCL will have to pay the difference in fees.
Language: The exam medium can be changed, for example, from English to Hindi/Gujarati.
Aadhaar Number: Candidates can update their Aadhaar details if needed.
Date of Birth: Can be corrected as per the Class 10 mark sheet.
Communication Address and Contact Number: These can be updated to ensure important notifications are received.

Since this is a one-time correction facility, applicants must verify their details carefully before submitting changes. No further opportunities for correction will be given after the window closes.
Once the JEE Main Session 2 correction window closes, the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Admit Card will be released. Applicants can expect to download their admit cards three days before the exam date from the official NTA website.
