How to Choose AP LAWCET Participating Colleges?

While selecting a college based on the AP LAWCET scorecard, candidates must consider the following important factors.

  • Verify Accreditation and University Affiliation: While selecting any college from the list of AP LAWCET accepting colleges, make sure the college is approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and affiliated with a reputed university. This ensures your law degree is valid for legal practice or further studies.
  • Check Previous Years’ Cut-off Ranks: Review the past cut-off ranks for different colleges to assess your chances of admission based on your AP LAWCET score.
  • Review Seat Intake and Course Availability: Examine the seat intake for both 3-year and 5-year LLB programs and confirm that your preferred course and specialization are offered at the college.
  • Compare Fee Structure and Financial Aid: Understand the tuition fee, hostel charges, and other costs. Check if the college offers scholarships, fee concessions, or government support for students from economically weaker sections.
  • Review Student Feedback and Reputation: Read genuine reviews by current or past students about academics, faculty, campus life, and facilities. Also consider college rankings and reputation in legal education circles.
  • Consider Location and Campus Facilities: Candidates must cross-check the location and facilities offered by the colleges before making their choice. Factor in the college’s location, accessibility, and available facilities such as moot courts, libraries, and internship opportunities can highly impact your overall law school experience.
