National Law University Delhi Admission Process 2025

NLU Delhi admission 2025 is a multistep admission process. It starts with shortlisting candidates based on their AILET merit scores, followed by a counselling and seat allocation process. The admission process for NLU Delhi is given below. 

  • Step 1: NLU Delhi Application Process 2025: Candidates seeking admission to NLU Delhi law courses have to apply through AILET. Aspirants who fall under the categories of Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) may apply under both the Indian Students category as well as under the OCI/PIO category. They have to fill out separate application forms under both categories. 
  • Step 2: NLU Merit List: Candidates are further shortlisted based on their AILET scorecards. The AILET entrance exam includes 150 multiple-choice questions, totalling 150 marks. Once the AILET results are declared, NLU Delhi announces the provisional merit list program-wise for admission. In case two or more candidates score the same merit marks, the senior candidate among them will get preference. 
  • Step 3: National Law University Delhi Final Admission: National Law University offers the final admission to the candidates whose names are present on the merit list. Candidates must pay the required admission fee to confirm their seats.  

Eligibility Criteria for National Law University Delhi Admission 2025

For admission to the BA LLB (Hons) program at NLU Delhi, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria. 

  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from a recognized board.
  • General/OBC/EWS/OCI/PIO candidates must secure at least 45% aggregate marks; SC/ST/PwD candidates must secure at least 40% aggregate marks.
  • Candidates appearing for their 10+2 exams in 2025 are also eligible to apply, provided they submit proof of passing at the time of admission. 
  • There is no age limit for appearing in the AILET 2025 exam. 
  • Qualified AILET entrance exams with merit scores.
