PUCET Law 2025 Eligibility Criteria: PUCET Law 2025 is the Panjab University Common Entrance Test for Law, a state-level entrance exam conducted for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programs at Panjab University, Chandigarh. It is held for both the 5-year integrated BA/B.Com LL.B. (Hons.) and the 3-year LLB courses, with separate exams and eligibility criteria for each. 

Candidates applying for the 3-year LLB program, must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) from a recognized university. There is no upper age limit for either program.

PUCET Law 2025 Eligibility Criteria Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any discipline from Panjab University or any university recognized by the Bar Council of India if they are interested in PUCET Law 2025 entrance exam for 3-year LLB. 

• They must have obtained at least 45% marks in aggregate (40% for SC/ST/BC/PwD candidates). 
• Candidates in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply, provided they meet the minimum marks requirement at the time of admission. 
• For those with degrees in Modern Indian or Classical Languages, aggregate marks are calculated as per special university rules.

There is no upper age limit for candidates applying to either the 3-year LLB or the 5-year BA/B.Com LL.B. (Hons.) programs at Panjab University. This open-age policy ensures that aspirants of any age can apply, provided they meet the other educational and qualifying criteria at the time of admission. 

PUCET Law 2025 Eligibility Criteria for Freshers

Candidates appearing in their Class 12 exams in 2025 are also eligible, provided they submit proof of qualification during counseling. This ensures that fresh school graduates from any stream can apply for the law program at Panjab University, making the course accessible to a wide range of aspirants. 

Special Language Cases for PU LLB Eligibility Criteria 2025 

PU LLB Eligibility Criteria 2025 include special provisions for candidates with degrees in Modern Indian Languages (such as Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi in Gurmukhi script) or Classical Languages (such as Sanskrit, Persian, Arabic). For these candidates, the required aggregate of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/BC/PwD) is calculated by considering only the marks obtained in the language examination, excluding additional optional papers, English, and elective subjects. 

PUCET Law 2025 Application Form

The PUCET Law 2025 application form for the 3-year LLB program at Panjab University was available online from 1 May 2025. The last date to submit the application form was 8 June 2025.  Candidates must register at the official portal, fill in personal and academic details, upload required documents, and pay the application fee to complete the process. The entrance exam for the 3-year LLB is scheduled for 29 June 2025. Only those who submit their applications by the deadline will be eligible to appear.
