CAT 2023 Scaled Score Calculation: CAT 2023 is scheduled to take place on 26 November 2023. Unlike previous years' exams, this year's CAT will include three phases instead of the customary two sessions. Additionally, the duration for each CAT slot has been reduced from 180 minutes to 120 minutes. Besides introducing changes to the CAT exam structure, IIM has made adjustments to the CAT score calculation methods, which align with the altered exam format.

CAT 2023 Exam Sessions
CAT 2023 will take place across 150 Indian cities, spanning multiple examination centres within each city. All shifts will start simultaneously across all CAT exam centres on 26 November 2023. The slot timings for CAT 2023 are provided below:| CAT 2023 Slots | Timings |

What is CAT Score 2023?
The CAT score 2023 reflects a candidate's performance in the examination based on the CAT grading system. In simple words, candidates' CAT score is their performance in each of the three sections of the CAT paper, namely DILR, VARC, and QA. There are two types of CAt score: CAT raw score and CST scaled score. The raw score is the total marks candidates score out of 198 marks, while the scaled score is obtained by normalising the raw score to ensure equality across all CAT shifts. Steps to Calculate CAT 2023 Raw Score
To compute the CAT 2023 raw score, candidates must adhere to the steps outlined below:- First, count the number of correct responses in the CAT exam. Then, multiply the total correct answer by 3 as IIM allots 3 marks for each correct answer in CAT.
- Next, count all the incorrect answers and add them (CAT has a negative marking provision of -1 for each incorrect response).
- Now, deduct the wrong answers from the summation of correct answers. The resulting outcome will represent the CAT raw score.

In this step, the candidates' raw scores from all shifts (morning, afternoon, and evening) are used to determine the Mean and Standard Deviation.- Mean = M

After getting candidates' raw scores across all CAT sessions, the average raw score of the top 0.1% of candidates in each shift is computed in the third step. For this purpose, the following formula is to be used:| CAT Average Raw Score Particulars | Sign |
