IIM Kozhikode Selection  Criteria 2025-27: IIM Kozhikode has a three-stage process for admissions to its flagship PGP program (2025-27). To apply for the IIM Kozhikode MBA program, candidates must take the CAT 2024 exam and get a good score. The admission committee will review each candidate's CAT score, academic qualifications, performance in PI (Personal Interview) and WAT (Written Ability Test), work experience, and more.

IIM Kozhikode will start the selection process for its MBA program shortly after the release of CAT 2024 result . Candidates who attempt the CAT exam will be eligible to submit their application on the official website of IIM Kozhikode. Further, the selection authority will publish the merit list for WAT and PI rounds.

IIM Kozhikode Selection Criteria 2025-27

The selection process for the MBA program at IIM Kozhikode has three rounds. Candidates must complete all stages to receive an admission offer. The stages are as follows:
  1. Registration of candidates
  2. Shortlisting for WAT (Written Ability Test) and PI (Personal Interview)
  3. Final Merit List of selected candidates

IIM Kozhikode MBA Program Registration

The first stage of IIM Kozhikode MBA admission includes completing the registration process online. Further, the authorities identify candidates who meet the minimum eligibility requirements. All the candidates who have a positive CAT score are allowed to register for the MBA program. Among the large pool of candidates, the admission committee of IIM Kozhikode selects only those who meet the below-mentioned eligibility requirements:
  • CAT 2024 Scores : Candidates must achieve a positive scaled score (greater than zero) across all sections of the CAT 2024 exam.
  • Graduation and Academic Qualifications : Eligible candidates must meet any of the following educational qualifications:
    • Graduates : Candidates with a bachelor’s degree must have secured at least 60% aggregate marks in their UG degree exam with a minimum 3 year course duration after secondary education (after 10+2).
    • CA, CMA (ICWA), or CS Holders : Candidates with professional qualifications, with or without a bachelor’s degree, must have achieved at least 5 0% aggregate marks in CMA (ICWA), CA, or CS exams.
  • Category-wise Minimum Cutoffs : Candidates must meet class 10, class 12, and CAT cutoff specified in the following table:

IIM Kozhikode Shortlisting for WAT and PI

In the second stage of IIM Kozhikode, registered candidates who meet the registration criteria are shortlisted for further evaluation. IIM Kozhikode releases a shortlist for the WAT and PI based on an Aggregate Index Score (AIS). The AIS is computed using multiple components, each with a specified weightage. IIM Kozhikode Final Merit List

Candidates who qualify for the IIM Kozhikode stage 3 assessment must participate in a half-day evaluation session consisting of a Written Ability Test (WAT) and a Personal Interview (PI). The WAT and PI rounds will be conducted in major cities across India. Candidates will get information about their allocated centres for these rounds through the call letter. This stage focuses on evaluating candidates'  communication skills, analytical abilities, personality, and work experience.   • WAT : Candidates will write an essay on a topic provided at the centre.
  • PI: Candidates who will be shortlisted after the WAT round will have to undergo the PI round. The PI evaluates academic qualification, general awareness, career goals, attitude, and other personality traits.

  • Fee Deposit and Withdrawal Policy : Candidates who accept the admission offer of IIM Kozhikode must submit an acceptance fee of INR 1,00,000. In case of withdrawal of admission candidates receive a refund according to the Government of India policy.
