Steps to Calculate XAT Score
To calculate your XAT score, follow the XAT marking scheme. You get one mark for each correct answer, lose 0.25 marks for each wrong answer, and face no deductions for unanswered questions. Skipping eight questions in a row results in a 0.10 mark deduction. Your XAT score is the sum of the raw scores in each section. For XAT percentile, use the formula common to other MBA entrance exams: (Number of candidates - Candidate's rank) / Number of candidates x 100. For instance, if 10,000 people took the XAT, and you scored the highest, it means 9,999 candidates scored less than you. Your XAT percentile would be 9,999/10,000 x 100 = 99.95. The XAT exam is a multiple-choice question (MCQ) based test where all questions carry equal weight, with each question being worth 1 mark. The total marks for the exam amount to 100. The XAT marking scheme differs slightly from other MBA entrance exams . Candidates earn 1 mark for each correct answer, but for every incorrect attempt, there is a deduction of 0.25 marks. Additionally, if a candidate leaves 8 or more consecutive questions unanswered, a deduction of 0.10 marks is applied. It's important to note that there is no negative marking in the General Knowledge section.
