- There is no age boundation to participate in the XAT exam.
- It's not mandatory for candidates to secure a minimum 50% mark in the qualifying exam to appear for the XAT exam. Candidates merely need to complete their graduation program before the commencement of the XAT admission process.

XAT Exam 2024 Latest Changes
In the most recent announcement, the XLRI informed candidates about the inclusion of five new exam centres for the XAT exam 2024. These additional centres include Shillong, Jorhat, Rajkot, Tejpur, and Naharlagun. Furthermore, XLRI has made certain modifications to the XAT exam pattern in 2023. These include the following:- An additional 5-minute mock keyboard testing section has been integrated into the XAT exam Part 2.
- The General Knowledge (GK) and Essay Writing sections are now included in Part 3 of the XAT exam.
- For the essay writing segment, candidates are required to select one essay topic from three options and compose a 300-word short essay.
- Besides Essay, all other questions in the XAT exam are MCQ type. A total of 105 questions are set to be administered in the upcoming XAT Exam.
- The number of questions in the Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DM) section has been increased from 21 to 22.
- Additionally, the overall duration of the XAT exam has been extended to 210 minutes, with Part 1 allocated 175 minutes, Part 2 5 minutes, and Part 3 allotted 30 minutes.
XAT 2024 Examination Structure
The official XAT 2024 exam pattern comprises five sections, each grouped into three distinct parts. For completing each part, candidates get a specific time allocation. These sections include Verbal and Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, Decision Making, GK, and Analytical Essay Writing. Besides the Essay, all other sections have MCQs. The marking scheme for the objective-type question is +1 for correct answers and -0.25 for incorrect answers.
