NEET PG 2025 Pattern: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate courses (NEET PG) is a critical exam for medical graduates in India, conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) to evaluate MBBS-level knowledge and skills. NEET PG 2025 is scheduled for June 15, with registration open from April 17 to May 7. As per the official exam pattern released in the information brochure, the test will consist of 200 questions to be attempted in 3.5 hours.

The exam will follow a time-bound section format, where candidates must complete each section within the allotted time and cannot revisit or change responses afterward. Initially planned in two shifts, the Supreme Court on May 30 ordered NBE to conduct NEET PG 2025 in a single shift to ensure fairness and avoid discrepancies due to different paper difficulty levels. According to the updated schedule, NBE will post the NEET PG 2025 admit card on July 31, 2025. From the list that NBE provides, candidates will be able to choose the exam city.

NEET PG 2025 Exam Pattern Overview

In the NEET PG 2025 Examination, the paper will consist of a single section with 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode with English as the medium. The exam duration is 3 hours 30 minutes, and each question will have four options, out of which only one will be correct. For each correct answer, candidates will receive +4 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. There is no negative marking for unattempted questions.

The question paper will cover all clinical, pre-clinical, and para-clinical subjects as per the MBBS curriculum. Eligible Persons with Disabilities (PwD) may be provided with extra time and other accommodations as per the Government of India guidelines. The  NEET PG 2025 exam is tentatively scheduled for June 15, 2025. The exam will be conducted in an online format, i.e., a computer-based test (CBT). The test will evaluate the proficiency of candidates across various medical subjects. Candidates will be required to answer 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in a duration of 3 hours and 30 minutes. The total marks for the exam will be 800.
