BUMS Course : BUMS stands for Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery. The Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) program is an undergraduate medical degree study in the Unani medicine and surgery field. The BUMS course lasts five and a half years, with one year of rotatory internship.

The BUMS degree curriculum combines conventional medical practices with a modern approach that uses equipment. The Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), a statutory authority under the Department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Siddha, Unani, and Homoeopathy (AYUSH), regulates BUMS courses and training in India.

BUMS Course Eligibility Criteria

  1. Students must have received a grade of at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English in their 10+2 or equivalent program from a recognized board.
  2. A candidate must be at least 17 years old to be considered.

BUMS Course Admission Process

National or state-level medical entrance exams, such as NEET, the Combined Pre-Ayush Test (CPAT), the CPMEE, the KEAM, etc., are required for admission to the B.U.M.S course.
