The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the NEET 2025 category-wise qualifying cut-off. This cut-off shows the minimum marks and percentile needed just to become eligible for NEET counselling and admission process. These qualifying marks allow students to take part in the counselling for medical courses like MBBS, BDS, and BUMS. However, scoring just the qualifying marks does not guarantee college admission. Final admission depends on the college-wise merit list, which is prepared based on higher NEET scores and seat availability.

After clearing the NEET UG 2025 exam, students must go through the counselling process to get a BUMS seat. Counselling is conducted by the Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) for central-level colleges, and by State Counselling Authorities for state-level colleges. Here is how the process works:
First, students must score the required cut-off marks in NEET UG 2025.
After the NEET result is declared, students have to register online for AYUSH NEET counselling on the official AACCC website.
During registration, students must fill in their preferred choices of BUMS colleges and courses. They should choose more than one college to improve their chances of getting a seat.
The counselling is done in multiple rounds – Round 1, Round 2, and Mop-Up Round. If students do not get a seat in the first round, they can try again in later rounds.
If a seat is allotted, students must submit their documents for verification, and pay the fees to confirm the admission.
If they do not like the allotted seat, they can choose to wait for the next round or apply for an upgrade.
It is very important to follow all dates and deadlines of the counselling process. Missing a step can result in losing your chance to get admission.
