Jammu and Kashmir MBBS Admission 2024 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the Jammu and Kashmir NEET UG 2024 program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Candidates must be Indian citizens.
2. Applicants should be at least 17 years old at the time of admission.
3. To qualify for State Quota seats in Jammu and Kashmir MBBS admission 2024, candidates must be domiciled in Jammu and Kashmir or Ladakh.
4. Candidates must have completed Class 12 from a recognized institution within the state, achieving at least 50% aggregate marks for unreserved categories and 40% for reserved categories.
5. Those applying under the open merit category must obtain a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in their qualifying examination, while those in reserved categories must secure 40% in aggregate. Persons with Disabilities (PwD) in the open merit category are required to achieve 45% in these subjects, as per the Medical Council of India regulations.
6. Candidates must meet the minimum NEET cut off scores set by the authorities to gain admission to Jammu and Kashmir MBBS 2024. The cut off score for different categories is as under:

The conducting authority for Jammu and Kashmir MBBS Admission 2024 has released the tentative Seat Matrix of Jammu and Kashmir MBBS Admission 2024 for the first round of online counselling. A total of 4% of seats in government institutions are reserved for candidates from the UT of Ladakh and will be allocated according to horizontal reservations as follows:

• 3% of the total seats are reserved for Children of Defence Personnel (CDP).
• 1% of the total seats are reserved for Children of Para-Military Forces and UT Police Personnel (JKPM).
• 2% of the total seats are reserved for candidates with outstanding proficiency in sports (SP).
• 4% of the total seats are reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) with identified benchmark disabilities as recognized by the government.

Additionally:

• 4 seats each for Home Medical (HM) and Non-Resident Indian (NRI) categories will be filled in the second round of offline counselling, for which a separate notification will be issued.
• Gender-wise rotational policies in government institutions will be maintained where applicable.
