Meghalaya NEET Merit List 2025: Tie-Breaking Criteria

1. Higher Biology Marks: Applicants with higher scores in Biology will be ranked higher and given preference in case of a tie.

2. Higher Chemistry Marks: If the tie persists after considering Biology marks, applicants with higher scores in Chemistry will be preferred.

3. Fewer Negative Marks : If the tie still remains, preference will be given to the applicant who has fewer negative marks in the NEET examination.

4. Seniority: If the tie is still unresolved, the applicant who is older in age will be given preference.

Meghalaya Seat Allotment Procedure 2025

Seat allotment for MBBS and BDS courses in Meghalaya is done through counselling based on merit and student preferences.

1. Counselling Rounds: Meghalaya MBBS & BDS Counselling will be conducted in two rounds. Each round, including the mop-up round, will handle seat allotment separately.
2. Criteria for Seat Allotment: Seat allotment is primarily based on the candidate's merit rank and their preferences for colleges and courses.
3. Round I Seat Allotment: The seat allotment results for Round I counselling are expected to be announced around the first week of July. These results will be available online on the official website of NEIGRI of Health and Medical Sciences, Shillong.
4. Upgradation Option: Candidates who are allotted seats in the first round can choose to participate in the second round for upgradation. If a candidate secures a better seat in the second round, the seat allocated to them in the first round will be automatically cancelled.

Meghalaya NEET Counselling Process 2025

• Complete the application form as per previous instructions.
• Pay the non-refundable registration fee of ₹500 and a refundable tuition fee either online or by depositing a challan at any bank.
• Submit the original NEIGRIHMS copy of the challan along with your application.

• Regularly check the official website for the list of candidates invited for counselling and any waitlists.

• If selected, attend a mandatory medical examination at the Institute, covering your own expenses.

• Selection is based solely on your NEET score and percentile; no additional factors are considered.
