NMC's New Regulation

NMC's New Regulation:  Guess what? The National Medical Commission (NMC) has just made a new rule to make sure there are enough doctors everywhere! Now, each state can only have 100 seats for people studying to be doctors for every million residents. Why? Because the NMC wants to make sure everyone gets the best education and we have doctors all over the country.

NMC's New Regulation

The NMC talked about this in an official notice. They said it will help students learn better and make medical education top-notch. They also said this will stop too many medical colleges from being crowded, which is a good thing. The NMC thinks that if we share things equally, we could have about 40,000 more seats for doctor studies all over India! People are really happy about this, especially groups like the Indian Medical Association and students' associations. Everyone is cheering for the NMC's decision to make medical education even better. And that's not all! The government is also checking if all the states and medical colleges are ready for a big test called the National Exit Test (NExT). This test is for students who will be doctors soon, and the government wants to make sure everything is set up right. They made a team of 7 people to look into it. They postponed the test for students from 2019, but now they're getting ready for the next batch in 2020. So, there you have it—new rules for making sure there are enough doctors, more seats for future doctors, and a big test coming up! Exciting times for the medical world!

NMC's New Regulation Could Add 40,000 MBBS Seats Nationwide, Receives Praise from Medical Community

According to NMC, if the medical institutions are allocated equally, there will be a possibility for an increase of roughly 40,000 MBBS seats in the nation. “This decision of NMC has been applauded by various state branches of IMA, students’ associations, and medical fraternity in general. NMC shall continue its endeavour to improve quality of medical training in the country,” NMC notice states.
