New Website for NEET 2024 Registration
The first and foremost change that the NTA has made is the change of the official website of NEET UG 2024. The previous website, neet.nta.nic.in , is no longer functional and has been replaced by a new website, neet.ntaonline.in . This new website has all the information and updates related to the NEET UG 2024 exam, such as the information bulletin, syllabus, FAQs, application form, admit card, result, etc. The candidates who want to apply for NEET UG 2024 must visit this new website and register themselves before the last date, which is March 9, 2024.New Tie Breaking Criteria for NEET UG 2024
Increased Exam Centers for NEET UG 2024
The second change that the NTA has made is the cancellation of the NEET UG exam centers outside India. This means that the NEET UG 2024 exam will not be conducted in any foreign country. According to the majority of media sources, this decision has been taken by NTA authorities. Also there is no information available in the NEET UG 2024 information bulletin about abroad exam centers. The NTA has also increased the number of exam centers within India. Earlier the number was 499 and now it has been increased to 554 . The third change that the NTA has made is the revision of the exam fees for NEET UG 2024. The exam fees have been increased for all the categories of candidates, except for the SC/ST/PwD candidates, whose fees remain the same as before. NEET UG 2024 Revised Syllabus
The fourth and most important change that the NTA has made this year is the revision of the syllabus for NEET UG 2024. The NEET 2024 syllabus has been reduced by the National Medical Commission. The new syllabus has 79 chapters, as compared to the previous syllabus which had 97 chapters. The syllabus covers the topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology) of classes 11 and 12. The candidates can download the revised syllabus from the official website of NEET UG 2024. The NTA has also clarified that the NEET UG 2024 exam will have the same pattern as before, with 180 multiple-choice questions, 45 from each subject. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours, and the marking scheme will be +4 for correct answers and -1 for wrong answers.
