  • Descriptive passage
  • Case-study passage

Question 1

This section of CBSE class 9 English syllabus includes an unseen descriptive passage of 400-450 words. In this type of passage, the aim is to present a well-structured argument supported by evidence and logical reasoning. Additionally, the passage discusses a specific topic and asks questions based on the same.

Furthermore, students need to answer all the questions in order to provide a comprehensive analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of the subject matter. To score well in this CBSE class 9 English syllabus section, students must demonstrate strong inference, analysis, interpretation, evaluation, and vocabulary skills.

For this they must read comprehension passages and solve their corresponding questions. Additionally, they must focus on gaining a deep understanding of the subject matter and present a balanced perspective. Moreover, students are advised to avoid making biassed arguments while answering passage based questions.

Question 2

The case-based passage, consisting of 200-250 words, includes visual representation of information in the form of charts or graphs. After reading the passage students are required to analyse and interpret the given information.

Additionally, they need to carefully examine the visual input and understand its significance in the context of the given case. It is important to accurately interpret the data presented and provide a clear and concise analysis.
