NCERT Solutions for Class 7 Maths Overview

It is recommended that students review these NCERT Solutions for Class 7 Maths. While students are practising, they can grasp the reasoning behind each problem as the solutions are presented step-by-step and in compliance with the CBSE criteria. Below are the chapter details of all the chapters.

Chapter 1 Integers

The study of integers is covered in Chapter 1. We have studied whole numbers and integers in past lessons. We will now learn more about the characteristics and uses of integers. The properties of addition and subtraction of integers, as well as the multiplication and division of integers, are also related to the addition and subtraction of integers.

Chapter 2 Fractions and Decimals

The NCERT textbook's Chapter 2 covers fractions and decimals. In previous lessons, you were taught about fractions and decimals, as well as how to add and subtract from them. The operations of multiplication and division on fractions and decimals will now be covered.

Chapter 3 Data Handling

The NCERT textbook's Chapter 3 covers data handling. You worked with a variety of data types in your prior lessons. You now know how to gather information, tabulate it, and arrange it into bar graphs. We will now go one step further in this chapter to understand how to accomplish this. Data collection, data organisation, representative values, arithmetic mean, mode of huge data, median, using bar graphs for diverse purposes, scale selection, chance, and probability are all covered in this chapter.

Chapter 4 Simple Equations

The NCERT textbook's Chapter 4, Simple Equations, covers how to construct and solve equations. We will learn how to transpose a number—that is, move it from one side to the other—by working through several equations. Rather than adding or subtracting from both sides of the equations, we can transpose the integers. Next, we examine how to solve equations and apply basic equations to real-world scenarios.

Chapter 5 Lines and Angles

Lines and angles are the topic of this chapter. This chapter covers the following topics: transversals, the angle formed by transversals, transversals of parallel lines, checking of parallel lines, linear pairs, vertically opposing angles, pairs of lines, intersecting lines, and transversals.

Chapter 6 The Triangle and Its Properties

In the NCERT textbook, Chapter 6, the subject of The Triangle and Its Properties is covered. A triangle, consisting of three-line segments, is a basic closed curve. It is composed of three sides, three angles, and three vertices. A triangle's median, altitude, exterior angle and its property, angle sum property, two unique triangles—equilateral and isosceles—the sum of the lengths of a triangle's two sides, right-angled triangles, and Pythagoras property are all covered.

Chapter 7 Congruence of Triangles

The Congruence of Triangles is the topic of this chapter. Two figures are considered congruent if their sizes and shapes match exactly. Congruence of plane figures, congruence between line segments, angles, congruence of triangles, criteria for triangle congruence, and congruence of right-angled triangles are more related subjects.

Chapter 8 Comparing Quantities

The NCERT textbook's Chapter 8 covers comparing quantities. Similar ratios, percentage as an additional method of comparing items, the definition of percentage, converting decimals or fractions to percentages, and converting percentages to fractions or decimals are among its related subjects. Fun with estimating, interpreting percentages, converting percentages to how many, ratios to percents, increase or decrease expressed as a percentage, profit or loss expressed as a percentage, charges imposed on borrowed funds, or basic interest are some other fascinating themes.

Chapter 9 Rational Numbers

The subject of rational numbers is covered in Chapter 9 of the NCERT textbook. Rational numbers in standard form, rational numbers on a number line, rational numbers between two rational numbers, operations on rational numbers, and positive and negative rational numbers are all covered.

Chapter 10 Practical Geometry

The subject of Practical Geometry is covered in Chapter 10 of the NCERT textbook. You know a lot of different shapes. Some of these you were taught how to draw in the previous lessons. You can draw a circle, an angle, an angle bisector, a line segment of a particular length, a line perpendicular to a given line segment, and so on. You will now be able to sketch some different kinds of triangles as well as parallel lines. This chapter covers building a line through a point that is not on the line, building a line parallel to a given line, and building various triangular shapes.

Chapter 11 Perimeter and Area

Simple Interest is the topic of this chapter. You have previously studied the areas of squares and rectangles as well as the perimeters of plane figures in Class 6. The area of a closed figure is the portion of a plane or region that it occupies, whereas the perimeter is the space surrounding it. You will study the areas and perimeters of a few more plane figures in this lesson.

Chapter 12 Algebraic Expressions

The NCERT textbook's Chapter 12 on Algebraic Expressions covers terms of an expression, coefficients, like and unlike terms, polynomials, trinomials, binomials, addition, and subtraction of algebraic expressions, as well as determining an expression's values.

Chapter 13 Exponents and Powers

The subject of Exponents and Powers is covered in Chapter 13 of the NCERT textbook. Exponents are the result of multiplying rational numbers by themselves multiple times. The laws of exponents, multiplying and dividing powers with the same base, taking a power, multiplying and dividing powers with the same exponents, the decimal number system, and expressing large numbers in standard form are some of the topics covered here.

Chapter 14 Symmetry

The topic of this chapter is symmetry. When two shapes are symmetrical, they mirror each other exactly when they are moved, rotated, flipped, or slid. Two things must have the same dimensions and form, but one must be oriented differently from the other in order for them to be considered symmetrical. A face is an example of an object that can have symmetry in it. This chapter covers rotational symmetry, line symmetry, rotational symmetry, and lines of symmetry for regular polygons.
