SSC Stenographer Answer Key 2025 Out: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC Stenographer Answer Key 2025 today, 22nd August 2025, for Grade C and Grade D posts. 

Candidates can now check their response sheet and compare it with the official key to estimate their score before the result is declared. It can be done using the provisional answer key released for the online exam.

The answer key link is active on the portal. Candidates need to log in using their registration number and password. The Commission has also opened the objection window, allowing candidates to challenge any answers they believe are incorrect.

How to Raise Objections Against SSC Steno Answer Key?

Candidates should follow the steps to raise objections against the responses mentioned in the SSC Stenographer Answer Key 2025. 

Step 1: Visit the official SSC website ssc.gov.in.

Step 2: Log in using your Registration Number and Password.

Step 3: Click on the “Challenge Answer Key” link.

Step 4: Select the question(s) you want to challenge.

Step 5: Upload valid proof/documents supporting your objection.

Step 6: Pay ₹50 per question as the objection fee.

Step 7: Submit your objection before the deadline.

SSC Stenographer Answer Key Fee

The fee structure for challenging a preliminary answer is currently being reviewed. Currently, candidates must pay Rs 100 for each question or answer they submit. The Commission plans to set up a system for refunding fees paid for submitting any question or answer, whereby candidates would receive a complete reimbursement of their fees if their challenge is accepted.

However, until the above-mentioned refund mechanism is developed, the Commission has decided to set a fee payment of Rs. 50/-per question or answer challenged. After logging in with their registration number and password, candidates must choose the questions they do not agree with, explain their reasons, and pay the challenge fees. This non-refundable amount provides a fair review procedure. Late submissions after August 25th, 2025, will not be allowed.

SSC Stenographer Marking Scheme

The SSC Stenographer Computer-Based Test (CBT) consists of 200 questions divided into three sections: English Language & Comprehension (100 marks), General Intelligence & Reasoning (50 marks), and General Awareness (50 marks). The exam takes two hours to complete and is administered in both Hindi and English. The CBT has a marking scheme of +1 mark for each correct answer and a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. 

Formula to Calculate Marks: Total Score = (Number of Correct Answers × 1) – (Number of Incorrect Answers × 0.25)
