Best UPPSC Posts

The Commission provides a detailed description of each UPPSC post in the official notification. Certain UPPSC posts are more popular with candidates than others due to the authority, salary, and responsibilities involved. The top UPPSC post list is given below.

UPPSC Deputy Collector

The state administrative service official in charge of revenue collection and sub-division administration is known as a deputy collector. Deputy collectors hold the title of sub-divisional magistrate despite being executive magistrates. The office-bearer supports district collectors in their daily tasks while working under their supervision. Revenue Divisional Officers (RDOs), who answer to the Additional District Collector (who manages the district's revenue department overall), are normally deputy collectors or deputy district collectors.

UPPSC Superintendent of Police

Superintendent of Police (SP) is the second most popular post in the UPPSC. He is the second-most powerful figure in the district police, behind IPS officials and Senior State Police Service officials. The district is separated into rural areas, sadar areas, city areas, and cardinal area directions. Officers stationed in these locations are called SP City, SP Rural, and so on. It is the SP that supervises many police stations. Maintaining peace and order is a joint effort of these officers, IPS officers, and the district's police force. Maintaining law and order and conducting investigations require collaboration between SPs, police inspectors, and sub-inspectors. The post is much preferred by candidates because of the perceived police powers attached to it.

UPPSC Sub-Divisional Magistrate

The highest post available in the UPPSC exam is Sub-Divisional Magistrate or SDM. After a certain period of service, SDM can become IAS. The SDM is the district's most powerful person, followed by the DM and SSP. Each SDM in the district is allocated to a department. The district's law and order are up to SDM Law and Order's standards. He is only second to the District manager in terms of police administration. He is in direct communication with the Superintendent of Police about law and order matters. The central equivalent of this post is IAS.

UPPSC Block Development Officer

The post of Block Development Officer (BDO) is also popular among candidates. BDO operates in rural and semi-urban areas where the block exists. The block's development is entirely handled by BDO. He is the head of the block's administration. BDO is essential to the state's numerous state and central government programs.

UPPSC Commercial Tax Officer

The center of the district's tax system is the Commercial Tax Officer (CTO). He is in charge of the district's company taxes as well as the administration and enforcement of local tax laws. He can issue the challan to the noncompliant firms so they can follow the state's tax regulations. It's one of the most popular UPPSC posts among candidates with a background in commerce.
