Intermediate or Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks (45% for SC, ST, BC, and PwBD candidates) along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
For candidates who completed qualifications before 2011, a minimum of 45% marks in Intermediate (40% for reserved categories) is required.
Intermediate or Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) and a 2-year D.Ed. Special Education or an approved equivalent qualification from the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
Graduation with at least 50% marks (45% for SC, ST, BC, and PwBD candidates) and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree.
For Language Teachers, at least 50% marks in Graduation with the concerned language as an optional subject, or a Graduation in Literature, alongside a B.Ed or Language Pandit Training certificate.
Minimum 50% marks in Graduation or Post-Graduation (45% for reserved categories) alongside a B.Ed. Special Education or a General B.Ed. with an approved RCI special education diploma.
AP TET Selection Process 2026 relies entirely on a single-stage competitive objective examination. There is no face-to-face interview stage.
Qualifying for the AP TET grants an eligibility certificate.
A 20% weightage is given to the candidate's AP TET score.
