The written examination is a key component of the EMRS appointment process. It is aimed at measuring candidates' abilities in their subject area and general awareness. The test will be an objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
The test paper will cover topics relevant to the individual positions and the respective subject - principles of education, subject knowledge, reasoning ability and general knowledge of tribal welfare & education. The test will be of two to three hours duration and may vary in marks assigned. General examination preparation and understanding the syllabus will improve the likelihood of success.
Principal positions are mostly filled through interviews or personality tests. It is supposed to determine the candidates as to their suitability in leadership, decision-making and communication skills to run a full residential school. This would enable the selection committee to determine the personality and interpersonal capabilities of the candidate to work in EMRS in academic and administrative roles.
The verification of documentation is very crucial, and the candidates will be required to produce valid certificates to prove their claims.
