MAHA TET 2025 Notification (Released), Check Important Dates

MAHA TET 2025, will be conducted by the Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE). It’s an eligibility test for teaching positions (primary classes (Classes 1-5) and upper primary (Classes 6-8) in the state. The exam will be an offline test and will take place on 23 November 2025, with the first phase (for paper I or primary) and the second phase (for paper II or upper primary) in two shifts. 

Each paper will be made up of 150 multiple-choice questions. Questions cover core subjects - Child Development & Pedagogy, Two Languages, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. A certificate for passing the exam will be issued and will be valid for a lifetime. You will be able to apply from 15 September to 3 October 2025.

MAHA TET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the specified educational and professional qualifications to be eligible for the MAHA TET 2025 exam.  Candidates must have obtained the necessary academic and professional qualifications to be eligible to apply for the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (MAHA TET) to get the eligibility certificate for teacher posts. Detailed eligibility will be available soon on the official website. 

• Candidates must meet eligibility requirements and must have attained at least 50% in any of the relevant qualifications, which can include D.El.Ed., B.Ed., or graduation. 

• The official notification does not mention any age limit.

MAHA TET 2025 Application Form

The application process for MAHA TET 2025 is exclusively online. Follow these steps carefully to fill out the MAHA TET 2025 Application Form:

• Visit the official website: https://MAHA TET.in.

• Fill out the application form in English only

• Ensure that all information, such as educational, professional, and reservation details, is filled out accurately from the original certificates

• Upload a scanned colour photograph, signature, a self-declaration letter, and a personal ID card

• Pay the application fee online using net banking, credit, or debit card. Online payment via a challan is not accepted

• After successful payment, the information on the application form will be finalized, and no changes will be allowed.

• Candidates applying for both Paper I and Paper II should select the option for both levels in a single application; there is no need to fill out separate forms.

• Do not send any hard copies of documents or the application form to any educational officer.

MAHA TET 2025 Exam Date

The MAHA TET exams are scheduled to be held on 23 November 2025 for both papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 will be held in the morning shift, that is 10:30 AM - 1:00 PM and Paper 2 will be held in the evening shift, that is 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM,  on the same day. Candidates can refer to the notification for the exam date.

MAHA TET 2025 Syllabus

MAHA TET 2025 consists of two papers: Paper 1 for primary teachers (Classes 1–5) and Paper 2 for upper primary teachers (Classes 6–8).

• Subjects in Paper 1: Child Development & Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, Environmental Studies.

• Subjects in Paper 2: Child Development & Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics & Science (for science teachers) or Social Studies (for social science teachers).

• The syllabus focuses on teaching aptitude, language skills, subject knowledge, and pedagogy to test candidates’ eligibility.

MAHA TET 2025 Exam Pattern

The MAHA TET 2025 exam consists of two papers: Paper 1 for primary teachers (Classes 1 to 5) and Paper 2 for upper primary teachers (Classes 6 to 8). Each paper has 150 multiple-choice questions carrying 150 marks, with a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. There is no negative marking. 

MAHA TET 2025 Selection Process

The MAHA TET 2025 exam is a single-stage eligibility test.

• Written Examination: Candidates must pass the written exam (Paper I and/or Paper II) to receive the TET eligibility certificate.

• Document Verification: After the exam results are declared, the academic and professional documents will be verified during the certificate distribution. The candidacy will be cancelled if any discrepancies are found between the information. provided in the application and the original documents, or if the candidate fails to submit the required documents.
