NCET  Participating Institutes 2025: Important Note

NCET 2025 candidates must be aware of the following important points regarding the participating institutions: 

  • The complete list of NCET 2025 participating institutes is reported on the NTA website, and it may be regularly updated; candidates are advised to check the website for changes.

  • Admissions will be made to the 4-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) at 64+ Central, State Universities, IITs, NITs, RIEs and government colleges.

  • Not all institutes offer all specializations (e.g., BA B.Ed., B.Sc. B.Ed., B.Com B.Ed.; therefore, candidates must check whether their preferred institution has their selected programme available.

  • There are no upper age limits for NCET 2025, but the universities may have their own individual age or eligibility criteria.

  • Candidates must have passed or must be appearing for their Class 12/equivalent examination from a recognized board; the qualifying marks and subject must be determined by the institution they have chosen.

  • The total intake is approximately 6,100 seats, but this number could increase as new institutions register.

  • Candidates will be selected and admitted based on their NCET scores, acceptance of their eligibility, and/or seat availability at the university they have chosen.

What is NCET 2025?

NCET (National Common Entrance Test) is a national-level entrance exam for entry in 4-year Integrated Teacher Education Programmes (ITEP) at an ITEP university/ institution participating in the NCET.

In which languages did NCET conduct?

NCET 2025 is being conducted in 13 languages including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

What is the marking scheme?

Each correct answer carries four marks. There is no negative marking for wrong answers and unattempted questions. Candidates need to attempt 160 out of the 181 questions.

2. What is the exam mode and pattern?

The exam is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) with objective-type multiple-choice questions. The exam has four sections, namely Language Proficiency, Domain Specific Subjects, General Test, and Teaching Aptitude.
